The 2021 Swiss Women's Curling Championship , Switzerland's national women's curling championship, was held from February 6 to 13 at the Curlingzentrum Region Basel in Arlesheim, Switzerland. [1] The winning Silvana Tirinzoni rink then played against the 2020 Swiss champion Elena Stern rink for the right represent Switzerland at the 2021 World Women's Curling Championship.

Contents

The event was held between four teams playing in a triple round robin. The top two teams played a best of three to determine the winner while the bottom two teams played in the bronze medal game. [2] Team Silvana Tirinzoni finished the event with a perfect 11–0 record and defeated Team Elena Stern two games to zero in the best of three final.

Silvana Petra Tirinzoni is a Swiss curler from Zurich. She is currently the reigning women's world champion skip having won the last two championships, in 2019 and 2021. Tirinzoni also represented Switzerland at the 2018 Winter Olympics, after winning the 2017 Swiss Olympic Curling Trials.

2013 World Womens Curling Championship

Esther Neuenschwander is a Swiss curler. She currently plays second on Team Silvana Tirinzoni.

The 2018 Princess Auto Elite 10 was held from September 26 to 30 at St. Clair Campus Arena in Chatham, Ontario. It was the first Grand Slam of Curling event held in the 2018-19 curling season, and the first time the Elite 10 had a women's division. It was also the last time the event was held, as it was removed from the Grand Slam lineup for the 2019-20 curling season.

Melanie Barbezat is a Swiss curler from Zollikofen. She currently plays lead on Team Silvana Tirinzoni. She represented Switzerland at the 2018 European Curling Championships and 2019 World Women's Curling Championship, winning the latter.

The 2019 Meridian Canadian Open was held from January 8 to 13 at the Civic Centre in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. This will be the fifth Grand Slam event and third "major" of the 2018–19 curling season.

The 2019 BOOST National was held from December 10 to 15, at the Conception Bay South Arena in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador. It was the third Grand Slam and second major of the 2019–20 season.

The 2020 Swiss Women's Curling Championship, Switzerland's national women's curling championship, was held from February 9 to 15 in Thun, Switzerland. The winning Elena Stern team was supposed to represent Switzerland at the 2020 World Women's Curling Championship at the CN Centre in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada but the event got cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 Schweizer Cup was held from August 20 to 23 in Baden, Switzerland. The total purse for the event was 11,000 Swiss francs on both the men's and women's sides.

The 2021 World Women's Curling Championship was held 30 April to 9 May at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta.

The 2021 Princess Auto Players' Championship was held April 20–25, 2021 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta.

2021 Champions Cup (curling) Grand Slam of Curling event

The 2021 Humpty's Champions Cup, a curling Grand Slam event, was held April 15–19, 2021 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta. Two days before the event was supposed to begin on Monday, April 12, the organizers delayed its start time by one day due to the (false) positive COVID-19 tests from the 2021 World Men's Curling Championship, which was held at the same site from April 2–11.

The 2016 CCT Uiseong Masters was held from March 8 to 11 at the Uiseong Curling Club in Uiseong-eup, Uiseong County, South Korea as part of the World Curling Tour. The event was held in a round robin format with a total purse of ₩ 200,000,000.
