The Grand Slam in tennis is the achievement of winning all four major championships in one discipline in a calendar year. In doubles, a team may accomplish the Grand Slam playing together or a player may achieve it with different partners. Winning all four major championships consecutively but not within the same calendar year is referred to as a "non-calendar-year Grand Slam", while winning the four majors at any point during the course of a career is known as a "Career Grand Slam".

The current title holder is Uruguay, which won its first title at the 2023 tournament in Argentina.

The England Under 20 rugby team are the newest representative rugby union team from England. They replace the two former age grade teams Under 19s and Under 21s. They compete in the annual Six Nations Under 20s Championship and World Rugby Under 20 Championship.
Martin Sauer is a German rowing coxswain. He is an eight-time world champion at the senior level and three-time underage world champion. He is a triple Olympian and a dual Olympic medallist. He has held his seat as coxswain of the German senior men's eight—the Deutschlandachter—constantly from 2009 to 2021 and steered that crew to their six world championship titles and also when at the 2017 World Rowing Cup II they set a world's best time of 5.18.68, still the standing world mark as of 2021.
The South American Under-23 Championships in Athletics is an under-23 athletics competition held between the member associations of the South American Athletics Confederation (ConSudAtle). Brooks Koepka is an American professional golfer who plays in the LIV Golf League. He formerly played on the PGA Tour. In October 2018, Koepka became world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking and remained for 47 weeks after winning the 2018 CJ Cup. He won the U.S. Open in 2017 and 2018, and the PGA Championship in 2018 and 2019, becoming the first golfer in history to hold back-to-back titles in two majors simultaneously. In 2023 Koepka won the PGA Championship for the third time, bringing his total to five majors won within six years. He started his career on the European Challenge Tour and eventually the European Tour. Koepka played college golf at Florida State University.
Simone Biles Owens is an American artistic gymnast. Her seven Olympic medals tied with Shannon Miller for the most Olympic medals won by an American gymnast and is the equal ninth-most overall. Having won 25 World Championship medals, she is the most decorated gymnast in the history of the Gymnastics World Championships, and is considered by many sources to be the greatest gymnast of all time. In 2022, Biles was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Joe Biden.

The United States of America (USA), represented by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020, the Games were postponed to July 23 to August 8, 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. U.S. athletes have appeared in every Summer Olympic Games of the modern era, with the exception of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, which the U.S. boycotted in protest of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The opening ceremony flag-bearers for the United States were baseball player Eddy Alvarez and basketball player Sue Bird. Javelin thrower Kara Winger was the flag-bearer for the closing ceremony. For the third consecutive time in the Summer Olympics, the United States was represented by more female than male athletes (285 men and 330 women).
The Croatia men's national under-16 and under-17 basketball team are boys' basketball teams, administered by the Croatian Basketball Federation, that represents Croatia in international men's basketball competitions. The Croatia men's national under-16 basketball team represents Croatia at the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship, where it has a chance to qualify to the FIBA Under-17 World Championship.
The 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup was to be the 23rd edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-20 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It was scheduled to be hosted by Indonesia between 21 May and 12 June 2021, which would be the first FIFA tournament hosted by the country. It would also be only the second U-20 World Cup to be held in Southeast Asia, first since 1997, and the first FIFA tournament in the region since the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
