Kakinada Municipal Corporation, also known as KMC is the civic body of Kakinada in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The corporation has recently concluded its election term and is currently headed by the Special Officer, Krithika Shukla who happens to be the collector of Kakinada District.

The state of Andhra Pradesh held urban local bodies elections on 30 March 2014. This included 10 Municipal Corporations, and 145 Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats. Elections in the remaining bodies were not held due to issues such as court cases, delays in the preparation of electoral rolls, problems in the delimitation of wards, and the creation of new bodies.

The 2021 Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation election were held on 10 March 2021 to elect members to all 98 wards of the municipal corporation. The ruling YSRCP party was able to cross the magic figure and won the GVMC Elections 2021. Of 98 wards, YSRCP won 58 wards, TDP won 30 wards, Janasena Party won 4 wards, BJP won 1 ward, CPI, CPM 1 each and 3 wards are won by Independents.

The 2021 Eluru Municipal Corporation election is going to be held on 10 March 2021 to elect members to all 50 wards of the municipal corporation.

The 2017 Kakinada Municipal Corporation election was held on 10 August 2017. Its purpose was to elect members for all 48 wards of the municipal corporation for this municipality in India. After three decades of running, the Telugu Desam Party won the election, securing 32 of the 48 seats.

The 2021 Ongole Municipal Corporation election is going to be held on 10 March 2021 to elect members to all 98 wards of the municipal corporation.

The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation is in charge of the civic administration and infrastructure of the city of Vijayawada. The corporation was formed in 1981 by upgrading from municipality status. Many other neighbourhoods were later merged into the corporation limits to a total area of 61.88 km2 (23.89 sq mi), located in Krishna district. It is adjoined by the Legislative capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati. It was also been part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region. The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation is divided into 77 wards. Each ward is headed by a corporator, elected by popular vote. The corporators elect The City Mayor who is the titular head of the corporation. Its executive powers lie with the Municipal Commissioner appointed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission monitors the municipal elections that are held in the city once in every five years. The last elections were held on 10 March 2021.
