The 2022 African Women's Handball Championship was the 25th edition of the African Women's Handball Championship, which took place from 9 to 19 November 2022, in Dakar, Senegal. [1] [2] The tournament was held under the aegis of African Handball Confederation and acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2023 World Women's Handball Championship, with the top four teams qualifying.

Angola won their 15th title after defeating Cameroon in the final. [3]

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2018 African Men's Handball Championship</span>

The 2018 African Men's Handball Championship was the 23rd edition of the African Men's Handball Championship and held from 17 to 27 January 2018 in Gabon. It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship.

The 2017 African Women's Junior Handball Championship was the 24th edition of the championship organised by the Ivory Coast Handball Federation under the auspices of the African Handball Confederation. It was held in Palais des Sports de Treichville, Abidjan from 4 to 10 September 2017. It was played in under-19 years category. It was the fifth time that Ivory Coast staged the competition. It also acts as qualification tournament for the IHF Women's Junior World Handball Championship. Top three teams i.e. Angola, Egypt and the hosts Ivory Coast qualified for the 2018 Women's Junior World Handball Championship to be held in Hungary.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2020 African Men's Handball Championship</span>

The 2020 African Men's Handball Championship was the 24th edition of the African Men's Handball Championship and was held from 16 to 26 January 2020 in Tunisia. It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and 2021 World Men's Handball Championship in Egypt.

The qualification for the 2020 Women's Olympic Handball Tournament assigned quota places to twelve teams: the hosts, the World champion, four continental champions and six teams from the World Olympic qualification tournaments respectively. The 2020 Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2018 African Men's Youth Handball Championship was held in Marrakesh, Morocco from 15 to 22 September 2018 at the Prince Moulay Rachid Hall. The top three teams qualified for the 2019 Men's Youth World Handball Championship.

The 2018 African Women's Handball Championship was the 23rd edition of the African Women's Handball Championship, which took place from 2 to 12 December 2018 in Brazzaville, Congo. The tournament was held under the aegis of African Handball Confederation and acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2019 World Women's Handball Championship.

The 2021 African Women's Handball Championship was the 24th edition of the African Women's Handball Championship, which was originally scheduled to take place from 2 to 12 December 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was rescheduled to 8 to 18 June 2021 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The tournament was held under the aegis of African Handball Confederation and acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2021 World Women's Handball Championship.

The 2019 African Women's Junior Handball Championship was held in Niamey, Niger from 5 to 14 September 2019. It also acted as qualification tournament for the 2020 Women's Junior World Handball Championship to be held in Romania.

The 2019 African Women's Youth Handball Championship was the 14th edition of the championship held in Niamey, Niger from 16 to 24 September 2019. It also acted as qualification tournament for the 2020 Women's Youth World Handball Championship to be held in China.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 African Men's Handball Championship</span>

The 2022 African Men's Handball Championship was the 25th edition of the African Men's Handball Championship, held from 11 to 18 July 2022 in Egypt. It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2023 World Men's Handball Championship in Poland and Sweden. Originally it was scheduled to be held in Morocco from 13 to 23 January 2022.

The 2021–22 LNH Division 1 was the 70th season of the LNH Division 1, French premier handball league and the 45th season consisting of only one league. It ram from 10 September 2021 to 8 June 2022.
