The 2022 America East Conference softball tournament will be held at University Field on the campus of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York from May 25 through May 28, 2022. [2] The tournament will earn the America East Conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I softball tournament.

The America East Conference (AmEast) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I whose members are located in the Northeastern United States. The conference is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Stony Brook Seawolves are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent Stony Brook University (SBU) in Stony Brook, New York. The Seawolves play as members of the Coastal Athletic Association, which competes at the NCAA Division I level. Stony Brook had previously been a part of the America East Conference from 2001 to 2022, though has competed in CAA Football since 2013. The university's mascot is Wolfie the Seawolf, and the official colors of the Seawolves are red, grey, and blue.
The Albany Great Danes are the NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic programs of the University at Albany, SUNY, located in Albany, New York, United States. Joe Nathan Field is a baseball field on the campus of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, United States. The field is home to the Stony Brook Seawolves baseball team of the NCAA Division I America East Conference. It is located at the northern end of the school's athletics complex. The field opened on May 20, 2011, replacing Stony Brook's old baseball field, which was known as University Field from 2002 to 2011. The old facility was known as Seawolves Field through the 2002 season, when its name was changed to University Field.

The 2012 America East Conference baseball tournament took place from May 23 through 25. The top four regular season finishers of the league's six teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Stony Brook University's Joe Nathan Field. Stony Brook won their fourth America East Championship, defeating Maine 13–6 in the championship game, and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I baseball tournament.
Matt Senk is an American college baseball coach who is currently the head coach of the Stony Brook Seawolves. Senk has held the head coaching position at Stony Brook since prior to the 1991 season. Under Senk, Stony Brook has won America East Conference baseball tournaments in 2004, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2019, appearing in the NCAA tournament each of those seasons. In 2012, Stony Brook won the Coral Gables Regional and advanced to the Baton Rouge Regional to face LSU. After defeating LSU in a three-game series, the team moved on to the College World Series for the first time in program history. It was the first time that a school from the Northeast had reached the College World Series since 1986.
Thomas Brenton is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Stony Brook Seawolves of the America East Conference, where he won the 2013 Lefty Driesell Award, given to the top defensive player in Division I college basketball. Brenton also won the 2013 America East Conference Player of the Year, becoming the second player from Stony Brook to earn the award. He played professionally in Japan for the Link Tochigi Brex of the B.League from 2013 to 2017.
Jameel Marcus Warney is an American professional basketball player for the Seoul SK Knights of the Korean Basketball League (KBL). He played college basketball for the Stony Brook Seawolves, leading the team to its first ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament and graduating as the school's all-time leader in several career categories.
The 2015 America East Conference softball tournament will be held at University Field on the campus of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York from May 7 through May 9, 2015. The tournament will earn the America East Conference's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Division I softball tournament. The tournament will only have the championship series broadcast. The championship will be available on AmericaEast.tv with Andrew Bogush and Scott Greene providing the call.

They played their home games at the Island Federal Credit Union Arena in Stony Brook, New York and were led by third-year head coach Jeff Boals. The team won 24 regular season games, a school record as a Division I program, including a nation-leading 13 road wins and received the No. 2 seed in the America East tournament. However, they lost in the quarterfinals to Binghamton.

The 2022 America East Men's Basketball Conference tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the America East Conference that began on March 6, 2022 and ended on March 12, 2022. All tournament games were played on the home arenas of the higher-seeded school. The winner, Vermont, received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
The 2022–23 Stony Brook Seawolves men's basketball team represented Stony Brook University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seawolves, led by fourth-year head coach Geno Ford, played their home games at the Island Federal Arena in Stony Brook, New York as first-year members of the Colonial Athletic Association. They finished the season 10–21, 6–12 in CAA play to finish in a three-way tie for 9th place. In the CAA tournament, they defeated North Carolina A&T in the second round before falling to College of Charleston in the quarterfinals.
The 2023 NCAA Division I softball season, play of college softball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began in February 2023. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2023 NCAA Division I softball tournament and 2023 Women's College World Series. The Women's College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Oklahoma City at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium, ended in June 2023.
