2022 Men's Club World Championship | |
The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship was the 17th edition of the competition. It was held in Betim, Brazil. It was the seventh time as well as the third consecutive times Betim was selected as the host city. The tournament was held from 7 to 11 December 2022. It was Volei Renata's first appearance at the Club World Championship. [1]
Sir Safety Susa Perugia won their title for the first time on their first participation of the tournament. [2] [3] Simone Giannelli was chosen as MVP of this tournament. [4]
On 10 June 2022 Brazilian media reported that this edition of the men's club world championship would be hosted in Minas Gerais, Brazil. According to the report, Brazil is going to host both men's and women's club world championship. [5]
Later on 13 September 2022 it was reported that the Italian club Perugia had offered to host the next edition of the men's club world championship. [6] In the end, Betim was selected to be the host city. [7] [8] [9]

Six teams divided into two pools of three teams each in a round-robin match. The top two teams of each pool advance to the semifinals.
A knockout stage. The first ranked team of Pool A plays a semifinal match against the second ranked team of Pool B, and the first ranked team of Pool B plays a semifinal match against the second ranked team of Pool A. The winners of the semifinals play for the Club World Championship title, while the runners-up play for the third place in the competition.

Nikola Grbić is a Serbian professional volleyball coach and former player, who is currently serving as head coach for the Poland national team. Grbić is the Olympic Champion Sydney 2000, a bronze medallist in the Olympic Games Atlanta 1996, and a multiple World Championship, European Championship and World League medallist. He was named the European Player of the Year in 2007 and inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2016.
Andrea Anastasi is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player. He was a member of the Italy national team from 1981 to 1991, and during his career won the 1990 World Champion title. He currently serves as head coach for Sir Safety Perugia.
Yoandy Leal Hidalgo is a volleyball player who plays as a wing-spiker for Italian club Gas Sales Piacenza. Born in Cuba, he is a former member of the Cuba men's national team (2007–2010) and currently represents Brazil after gained the Brazilian citizenship in June 2015.
Emanuele Birarelli is an Italian volleyball player, a member of Italy men's national volleyball team and Italian club Sir Safety Perugia, silver medalist of 2016 Summer Olympics, bronze medalist of 2012 Summer Olympics and participant of the Olympic Games 2008 Summer Olympics, World League and silver medalist of European Championship.
Tsvetan Nikolaev Sokolov is a Bulgarian professional volleyball player, a member of the Bulgarian national team and Russian club Dynamo Moscow, a participant at the Olympic Games London 2012. Sokolov is a multiple winner of the Champions League and Club World Championship, three–time Italian Champion, Turkish Champion (2016), Russian Champion (2021).
Marko Podraščanin is a Serbian volleyball player, member of the Serbia men's national volleyball team and Italian club Itas Trentino, participant of the Olympic Games, bronze medallist at the 2010 World Championship, 2011 European Champion, 2019 European Champion, gold medallist at the 2016 World League.

Massimo Colaci is an Italian volleyball player, a member of the Italy men's national volleyball team and Sir Safety Perugia, silver medalist of the 2015 World Cup, bronze medalist of the 2015 European Championship and the 2014 World League. He also won the silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
The FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship is an international men's club volleyball competition organised by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The competition was first contested in 1989 in Italy. It was not held between 1993 and 2008, but since 2009, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar and Brazil except in 2017 and 2018 where both hosted by Poland.

The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship was the 19th staging of the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship, contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB). The Netherlands and Poland were dual hosts for this event.
