The 2022 International Tour of Hellas was a road cycling stage race held between 27 April and 1 May 2022 in Greece. [1] It was the 18th edition of the Tour of Greece. [2] The race returned after a 10 year absence from the sport. [3]
One UCI WorldTeams, five UCI ProTeams, twelve UCI Continental and two National teams participated in the race. [4] The peloton consisted of 133 riders with most teams bringing 7 riders except for; Trek–Segafredo, Team Novo Nordisk, Astana Qazaqstan Development Team and the National team of Cyprus who started with 6 while MG.K vis Colors for Peace VPM only started with 5. [5]

The International Tour of Hellas is a road bicycle racing stage race. It consists of five stages and is usually held between April and May. The race was first held in 1968 as the Antiquities Trophy, and was later known as the Tour of Hellas . The race was held sporadically from 1968 until 2012. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) made the race part of the UCI Europe Tour in 2005; the race had previously been held as an amateur event. The race was revived in 2022 as a category 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour.
Tarteletto–Isorex is a Belgian UCI Continental team founded in 2010.
Polychronis Tzortzakis is a Greek road and track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team Roojai Insurance. Representing Greece, he competed in the team pursuit event at the 2010 and 2011 UCI Track Cycling World Championships.
Gianni Marchand is a Belgian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team Tarteletto–Isorex.
