The 2022 Pilipinas Super League Pearl of the Orient Cup was the inaugural tournament of the Pilipinas Super League (PSL) Pro Division. The regular season began on March 18, 2022, and ended on April 18, 2022. The postseason then ran from April 19 until 25, 2022.

Contents

The Davao Occidental Tigers won their first PSL title and second league championship overall after defeating the Cagayan de Oro Higalas in two games. Emman Calo was named as the Finals MVP. [1]

All participating teams played in a double round-robin format, where every team plays each other twice for a total of 14 games. The top four teams advance to a two-round, single-elimination playoff bracket, with each round being best-of-three series.

Awards

The league's individual season awards were handed out before Game 1 of the Finals series on April 22, 2022 at the Manuel Roxas Sports Complex in Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte. [3] The Finals Most Valuable Player was later awarded at the conclusion of series. [4]

The 2020–21 MPBL playoffs, originally billed as the 2020 MPBL playoffs and also known as the MPBL Lakan Cup Playoffs, was the postseason tournament of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League's 2019–20 season, the league's third overall, and the second under the 16-team format. The postseason tournament began on February 15, 2020 and concluded on March 21, 2021, after the fourth game of the 2021 MPBL Finals. The Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup 1st Conference, also known as the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup due to sponsorship reasons, is the inaugural season of the Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup, a professional basketball league in the Philippines.

The 2023–24 Pilipinas Super League President's Cup is the third tournament of the Pilipinas Super League (PSL) Pro Division. The regular season began on November 9, 2023 with the opening ceremonies at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. The season is slated to end in March 2024.

The 2022–23 Pilipinas Super League DUMPER Cup was the second tournament of the Pilipinas Super League (PSL) Pro Division. The regular season began on November 23, 2022, and ended on March 11, 2023. The playoffs then began on March 13, 2023, and ended on March 30, 2023. The entire tournament is sponsored by the DUMPER Partylist, hence the name.
