The 2021 Women's European Qualifier was the European qualification tournament for the 2022 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup. The tournament was held at CUS Pisa in Pisa, Italy from 21 to 24 October 2021. [1]

Contents

The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Rome but on 3 September 2021 it was announced the tournament was moved to Pisa because of the better facilities there. [2]

The top five teams from the 2021 EuroHockey Championship already qualified for the 2022 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup and the winner of this tournament joined them. [3]

Qualification

The bottom three teams from the 2021 EuroHockey Championship and the top 5 from the 2021 EuroHockey Championship II participated in the tournament. [4]

Ireland mens national field hockey team

The Ireland men's national field hockey team is organised by Hockey Ireland and represents both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland in international men's field hockey competitions, including the Summer Olympics, the Men's Hockey World Cup and the EuroHockey Nations Championship. Twelve teams qualified for the women's field hockey at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Each of the Continental Champions from five confederations received an automatic berth. Japan as the host nation qualified automatically. In addition, the remaining six nations will be determined by an Olympic qualification event. As hosts Japan also won the Asian Games title, a seventh quota place was added to the Olympic qualification event.

The 2021 Men's European Qualifier was the European qualification tournament for the 2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup. The tournament was held at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff, Wales from 21 to 24 October 2021.

The 2023 Women's EuroHockey Championship Qualifiers will be a series of 4 qualification events for the 2023 EuroHockey Championships in Mönchengladbach. The tournaments will be held in England, Ireland, Lithuania and France between 15 and 27 August 2022.
