The 2023 America East Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the America East Conference held from October 30 through November 5, 2023. The five-match tournament took place at campus sites, with the higher seed hosting. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the New Hampshire Wildcats, [1] [2] who were unable to defend their title after falling in the first round to Vermont. Maine won the tournament after an overtime victory in the final over UMass Lowell. [3] [4] It was the first victory in program history for Maine and the first for twenty-third year head coach Scott Atherly. [5] [6] As tournament champions, Maine earned the America East's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament.
The top six teams in the regular season earned a spot in the tournament. A tiebreaker was required to determine the fifth and sixth seeds for the tournament as NJIT and Vermont both finished with 3–4–1 records during regular season play. NJIT earned the fifth seed by virtue of their 3–2 victory at Vermont on October 22. Therefore, Vermont was the sixth and final seed for the tournament. [7]

The America East Conference (AmEast) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I whose members are located in the Northeastern United States. The conference is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
The America East men's basketball tournament is the annual concluding tournament for the NCAA college basketball in the America East Conference. The winner of the annual tournament gains an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship.
The Stony Brook Seawolves baseball team represents Stony Brook University in NCAA Division I men's college baseball. Stony Brook currently competes in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) and plays its home games on Joe Nathan Field. Matt Senk has coached the team since the beginning of the 1991 season. The team has won the America East tournament six times in 2004, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2019. In 2011, the Seawolves claimed their first America East regular season championship. The top four regular season finishers of the league's six teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Edward A. LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Massachusetts. The 2022–23 Vermont Catamounts men's basketball team represented the University of Vermont in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Catamounts, led by 12th-year head coach John Becker, played their home games at the Patrick Gym in Burlington, Vermont as members of the America East Conference. They finished the season 23–11, 14–2 in America East play to win the regular season championship. They defeated NJIT, Binghamton, and UMass Lowell to win the America East tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 15 seed in the East region. There they lost to Marquette.
