The 2024 Big West Conference women's volleyball tournament is the second postseason women's volleyball tournament for the Big West Conference during the 2024 NCAA Division I women's volleyball season. It will be held November 27 through November 30, 2024 at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California. [1] The winner received the conference's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament.
The top six teams will be eligible for the postseason, with the top two seeds receiving byes to the semifinals. Teams were seeded by record within the conference, with a tiebreaker system to seed teams with identical conference records. (see section 23.15) [2]

The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) is a college athletic conference with members located mostly in the Western United States, although it has added members as far east as Pennsylvania. The conference participates at the NCAA Division I level, primarily in Olympic sports that are not sponsored by a school's primary conference.
The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season.
The NCAA men's volleyball tournament, officially titled the NCAA national collegiate men's volleyball championship, is an annual competition that determines the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship in American college men's volleyball. It had been the only NCAA championship in the sport from 1970 until 2012, when the NCAA launched a Division III championship.
The Cal Poly Mustangs are the athletic teams representing California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. The 2016–17 UC Irvine Anteaters men's basketball team represented the University of California, Irvine during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Anteaters were led by seventh year head coach Russell Turner and played their home games at the Bren Events Center as members of the Big West Conference. They finished the season 21–15, 12–4 in Big West play to win the regular season conference championship. As the No. 1 seed in the Big West tournament, they defeated UC Riverside and Long Beach State before losing to UC Davis in the championship game. As a No. 1 seed in their conference tournament who failed to win their conference tournament title, UC Irvine received an automatic bid to the National Invitation Tournament. As a No. 8 seed, they were defeated by No. 1 seed Illinois State in the first round. The team won their third Big West Regular Season title in the past four years and their 5th straight season with at least 20 wins.
The UC Irvine Anteaters women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents the University of California, Irvine. The team currently competes in the Big West Conference, NCAA Division I.
The 2017–18 UC Irvine Anteaters men's basketball team represented the University of California, Irvine during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Anteaters were led by eighth-year head coach Russell Turner and played their home games at the Bren Events Center as members of the Big West Conference. They finished the season 18–17, 11–5 in Big West play, to finish in a tie for second place. As the No. 3 seed in the Big West tournament, they defeated Hawaii and UC Santa Barbara before losing to Cal State Fullerton in the championship game.

The winner received the conference's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
The 2021 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors volleyball team represented the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UH) in the 2021 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Rainbow Warriors, led by 12th-year head coach Charlie Wade, played home games at Stan Sheriff Center on the UH campus in the Honolulu neighborhood of Mānoa. The Rainbow Warriors, members of the Big West Conference, were picked by Big West coaches to win the conference in its preseason poll. After a late start was announced, Hawaii went undefeated in conference play. The Rainbow Warriors suffered their first and only setback in the semifinals of the Big West Tournament, forcing them to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Despite the setback, Hawai'i received the #1 seed in the national tournament and went on to win the National Championship with straight set wins over UC Santa Barbara in the semifinals and BYU in the national championship. The national championship is Hawai'i's first men's volleyball national championship after they had to vacate the 2002 national championship.

The three-match tournament took place at Anteater Stadium in Irvine, California. The four-team single-elimination tournament consisted of two rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Cal State Fullerton Titans. The Titans won the tournament in 2019 and are classified as the defending champions because there was no tournament held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cal State Fullerton was unable to defend its crown, falling to Cal Poly in the Semifinals. The UC Irvine Anteaters won the title by defeating Cal Poly 1–0 in the final. This was the second Big West tournament title for the UC Irvine program and the first for head coach Scott Juniper. As tournament champions, UC Irvine earned the Big West's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

This was the third Big West tournament title for the UC Irvine program and the second for head coach Scott Juniper. As tournament champions, UC Irvine earned the Big West's automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament.

The Anteaters successfully defended their title as the fifth seed, defeating Cal Poly 1–0 in the Final. This was the fourth Big West tournament title for the UC Irvine program and the third for head coach Scott Juniper. UC Irvine and Juniper have now one three straight Big West Tournaments. As tournament champions, UC Irvine earned the Big West's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament.

All rounds of the tournament were hosted at the higher seeds home stadium. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the UC Riverside Highlanders. UC Riverside was unable to defend its crown, falling to UC Santa Barbara in the First Round, 3–2. Second seed UC Irvine would go on to win the tournament in a penalty shoot-out over UC Davis in the Final. This was the fifth Big West tournament title for the UC Irvine program, and their first since 2013. The title was the first for head coach Yossi Raz. As tournament champions, UC Irvine earned the Big West's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament.
