The 2024 Derry Senior Hurling Championship was the 79th staging of the Derry Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Derry County Board in 1887. The championship ran from 10 August to 26 October 2024.

Slaughtneil were the defending champions. [1] [2]

The final was played on 26 October 2024 at the Owenbeg Centre of Excellence, between Slaughtneil and Banagher. [3] Slaughtneil won the match by 0-16 to 0-04 to claim their 18th championship title overall and a 12th consecutive title. [4] [5]

Slaughtneil's Cormac O'Doherty was the championship's top scorer with 0-34.

The 2020 Derry Senior Hurling Championship was the 75th staging of the Derry Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Derry County Board in 1887. The championship had been scheduled to begin earlier, however, it was postponed indefinitely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 25 June 2020. The championship eventually began on 25 July 2020 and ended on 13 September 2020.

Shane McGuigan is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Derry county team and plays both football and hurling for his club Slaughtneil.

The 2023 Derry Senior Hurling Championship was the 78th staging of the Derry Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Derry County Board in 1887. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 6 July 2023. The championship ran from 27 July to 17 September 2023.

The Derry Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Derry County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association for the second tier hurling teams in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland.

The 2024–25 All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship is scheduled to be the 54th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county club hurling tournament. The championship is scheduled to run from 3 November 2024 to January 2025.
