The 2024 PFF Women's Cup was the 4th edition of the cup competition. [1] Six teams competed for this season which lasted from October 13 to December 9, 2024. [2] Far Eastern University is the previous edition's champion, but is unable to defend their title.

Contents

The competition was publicly announced in September 2024, and is meant to be a qualification tournament for the 2025 PFF Women's League season. [3] [4] Coca-Cola Philippines serve as the title sponsor. [5] [6]

The tournament was projected to have ten match days, most of them to be played at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila. [4] Some matches were played at Arca Open Field and the McKinley Hill Stadium; both in Taguig. [7] [8] The format consist of a single round robin phase where the top four teams advanced to the semifinals. [9]

Stallion Laguna won their first title by winning 1–0 over Kaya–Iloilo in the Final. [10]

Participating teams

There are six participating teams. [11] [5] Collegiate teams, who are usually staples of the competition, did not enter due to the conduct of the UAAP Season 87 women's football championship. [1]

The 2021 Copa Paulino Alcantara was the third edition of the Copa Paulino Alcantara, the domestic football cup competition of the Philippines. United City won the previous edition in 2019, but withdrew from the 2021 edition. Kaya–Iloilo won their second title by defeating the Azkals Development Team 1–0 in the final. The final saw United City grab a narrow 3–2 win over defending champions Kaya–Iloilo in the highest-scoring final to date. As a result, United City won their second Copa title. They last won the title in the 2019, as Ceres–Negros.

The 2022 PFF Women's Cup was the 3rd edition of the cup competition. This edition marked the return of competitive women's football in the Philippines, with the PFF Women's League last held in 2019–20. No women's tournament had been held since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This also marked the return on the women's cup itself which was last held in 2015.

The 2023 Copa Paulino Alcantara was the fifth edition of the Copa Paulino Alcantara, the domestic football cup competition of the Philippines. The 2023 edition marks the second time that the cup includes non-PFL teams, with the first being the inclusion of the Philippines U22 as a guest team in 2019.

The 2023 PFF Women's League season is the fourth season of the women's national league of the Philippines following the 2019–20 season.

The 2024 Philippines Football League was the sixth season of the Philippines Football League (PFL), the professional football league of the Philippines. The PFL was previously under the sponsorship title of Qatar Airways. The league saw the participation of 15 teams, the most ever since the league's inception, and was held in a round-robin format from April 6 to July 14, 2024.
