The 2024 Women's U20 Volleyball European Championship will be the 29th edition of the Women's Junior European Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) the women's under-20 national teams of Europe. The tournament will be held in Bulgaria and Ireland from 5 to 17 August 2024. [1]

Host selection

Originally, Ireland and Scotland were given the hosting rights together on 12 October 2022. [2] However, in August 2023, Scotland withdrew due to financial reasons. [3] Bulgaria took their place as a co-host. Ireland's portion of the event marks the first time a EuroVolley event at any level will be hosted by a nation in the Small Countries Association.

The European Volleyball Confederation is the continental governing body for the sports of indoor volleyball, beach volleyball and snow volleyball in Europe. Its headquarters is in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.

The Bulgaria men's national under-21 volleyball team represents Bulgaria in international men's volleyball competitions and friendly matches under the age 21 and it is ruled by the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation body that is an affiliate of the Federation of International Volleyball FIVB and also part of the European Volleyball Confederation CEV.

The Women's U17 European Volleyball Championship is a sport competition for volleyball national teams with players under 17 years, currently held biannually and organized by the European Volleyball Confederation, the volleyball federation from Europe. As of the 2023 edition, the CEV aligned the age limit for the men's and women's competitions to U17. For the first three editions of the tournament age limit for women's competition was U16.

The 2020 Women's Junior European Volleyball Championship was the 27th edition of the competition, with the main phase held in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia from 22 to 30 August 2020.

The 2020 Men's U20 Volleyball European Championship was the 27th edition of the Men's Junior European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. The tournament was held in Brno and Kuřim, Czech Republic from 26 September to 4 October 2020. The top two teams of the tournament qualified for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship as the CEV representatives. But with runners-up Italy hosting the 2021 U21 World Championship together with Bulgaria, 3rd place Belgium joined the field for the 2021 U21 World Championship as well.

The 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship was the 21st edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship, contested by the women's national teams under the age of 20 of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Belgium and Netherlands, making it the first time that the tournament was jointly hosted by more than one country.

The 2024 Women's U18 Volleyball European Championship will be the 16th edition of the Girls' Youth European Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) the girls' under-18 national teams of Europe. The tournament will be held in Romania and Greece from 1 to 13 July 2024.

The 2024 Men's U20 Volleyball European Championship is the 29th edition of the Men's Junior European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. The tournament is held in Arta, Greece and Vrnjačka Banja Serbia from 26 August to 7 September 2024. The top six teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship as the CEV representatives.

The 2024 Men's U18 Volleyball European Championship is the 16th edition of the CEV U18 Volleyball European Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. The tournament is currently held in Plovdiv and Sofia, Bulgaria from 10 to 21 July 2024. The top teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's U19 World Championship as the CEV representatives.
