2025 Airbus A320 software update

In November 2025, it was announced that Airbus A320 aircraft required a software update due to the effect of solar radiation. It was expected to cause major disruption to global air travel. [1] [2]

Half of the world's Airbus A320 aircraft are expected to be affected by the required update. [2] The update is required to be installed by the next routine flight of the aircraft affected. [2]

JetBlue Flight 1230 incident

On 30 October 2025, Flight 1230 operated by JetBlue experienced a sudden loss of altitude injuring several passengers and subsequently made an emergency landing at Tampa International Airport. [2] The Federal Aviation Administration investigated the incident. [2]
