The first round of CONCACAF matches for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification were played on 22 and 26 March 2024. [1]

Format

Four teams, ranked as the bottom four in the CONCACAF entrant list, played home-and-away over two legs in two ties. The two winners advanced to the second round. [2]

Seeding

The seeding was based on the FIFA Men's World Ranking of December 2023 (shown in parentheses). [3] [4]

The Oceanian section of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification acted as qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, to be held in Qatar, for national teams which are members of the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC). It was the second time that a qualifying tournament was organized for CONCACAF teams to enter into the Copa América. Both play-off matches were held at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, United States.
