The South American section of the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification will act as qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup to be held in Brazil for national teams who are members of the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). Two teams will qualify directly to join hosts Brazil and two teams will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs. [1]
On 13 December 2024, CONMEBOL announced that a new qualifying tournament would take place with nine teams (excluding Brazil, who qualified automatically as hosts) playing a round-robin tournament consisting of four matches at home and four away. [2]
9 national teams from CONMEBOL will enter qualification.
