3 Days to Go is a 2019 South African Indian drama film written and directed by producer Bianca Isaac on her directorial debut. [1] The film stars Leeanda Reddy, Bollywood actress Lillete Dubey, Jailoshini Naidoo and Kajal Bagwandeen in the lead roles. [2] The film was set in Durban and had its theatrical release on 25 January 2019. [3] [4]
When their father passes away, four grown siblings Melissa (Jailoshini Naidoo), Janet (Leeanda Reddy), Riki (Rahul Brijnath) and Amy (Kajal Bagwandeen) all come together and gather with their collection of husbands, wives, children and grandchildren. The family together needs to survive for 3 days under one roof before they bury their father's ashes and part ways again. [5]
Monsoon Wedding is a 2001 comedy-drama film directed by Mira Nair, written by Sabrina Dhawan, and starring Naseeruddin Shah, Lillete Dubey, Shefali Shah and Vasundhara Das. The story depicts romantic entanglements during a traditional Punjabi Hindu wedding in Delhi. Dhawan wrote the first draft of the screenplay in a week while in Columbia University's MFA film program. Although set entirely in New Delhi, it was internationally co-produced between companies in India, the United States, Italy, France and Germany.

Sathiseelan Gurilingam "Ronnie" Govender was a South African playwright, theatre director and activist known for his community theatre efforts. He was known as a pioneer of Indian South African theatre in the country. Some of his notable works included Black Chin White Chin, Song of the Atman, and At the Edge and Other Cato Manor Stories. At the Edge won the 1997 Commonwealth Writers' Prize for best first book, Africa.

The show features an equal number of South African celebrities and public contestants competing in a luxurious, paradise-island location for a cash prize. Each episode the players compete in an Island Game. Each week's Island Game winner listens to the other players pleas to stay on the island, and they alone have the power to decide who stays and who goes by uttering the words "Pack your bags and get off my Island". It also featured in film festivals in North America. The film's name is a reference to the American reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Kandasamys: The Baby is a 2023 South African family drama film directed by Jayan Moodley, written by Jayan Moodley, Jailoshini Naidoo and Yugan Naidoo and starring Jailoshini Naidoo, Maeshni Naicker and Mariam Bassa. It is the fourth installment in the series, following Keeping Up with the Kandasamys (2017), Kandasamys: The Wedding (2019) and Trippin' with the Kandasamys (2021).
