Islamic Consultative Assembly national legislative body of Iran

The Islamic Consultative Assembly, also called the Iranian Parliament, the Iranian Majles, is the national legislative body of Iran. The Parliament currently has 290 representatives, changed from the previous 272 seats since the 18 February 2000 election. The most recent election took place on 26 February 2016 and the new parliament was opened on 28 May 2016.

Alireza Rajaei Iranian journalist

Alireza Rajaei is an Iranian journalist. He is considered as one of the member of the Nationalist-Religious alliance of Iran. He was elected as a member of parliament by people of Tehran in the sixth Iran parliamental election in 2000, however, after recounting votes and voiding hundreds of thousands of votes by Guardian Council he couldn't afford to go to Majlis. In Iranian local elections, 2003, he was placed 21st in Islamic City Council of Tehran and elected as an alternative member, but never took office.

Parliamentary elections were held in Iran on 18 February 2000, with a second round on 5 May. The result was a solid victory for 2nd of Khordad Front and its allies, the reformist supporters of President Mohammad Khatami.

1996 Iranian legislative election

Parliamentary elections were held in Iran on 8 March 1996, with a second round on 19 April. The Combatant Clergy Association and its allies emerged as the largest bloc in the Majlis, winning 110 of the 270 seats.

1988 Iranian legislative election

Parliamentary elections were held in Iran on 8 April 1988, with a second round on 13 May. The result was a victory for leftist politicians who later emerged as reformists. The number of clerics elected to the Majlis was reduced by over a third.

1923 Persian legislative election

The Persian legislative election of 1923 was held in November 1923 after the appointment of Reza Pahlavi as Prime Minister by Ahmad Shah Qajar. It was the last election in the Qajar Dynasty. Parliament opened on 11 February 1924.

Ahmad Hakimipour Iranian politician

Ahmad Hakimipour is an Iranian reformist politician and former militant.

Moderate Socialists or simply Moderates Party, was a political party in Qajari Persia and one of the two major parties of the constitutional period alongside its parliamentary rival Social Democratic Party–Democrat Party.

The Democrat Party was a social democrat political party in Qajari Persia, during the constitutional period. 1921 Persian legislative election

When it rejected an ultimatum from the Russian Empire, it too was dissolved in December 1911."
