The 6th Independent Air Defence Brigade is an independent anti-aircraft artillery brigade of the Bangladesh Army.
The brigade has been involved in securing major events and infrastructure in Dhaka, including reviewing security measures at religious sites. [1]
The brigade has a winter training area at Dattapara in Ashulia. [2]
As of 2009, the brigade was equipped with various types of Chinese anti-aircraft artillery and Chinese HN-5A man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS). It was in the process of replacing the latter with Chinese QW-2 MANPADS. [3]
