III Corps is a corps of the United States Army headquartered at Fort Cavazos, Texas. It is a major formation of the United States Army Forces Command.
The United States Army Ordnance Corps, formerly the United States Army Ordnance Department, is a sustainment branch of the United States Army, headquartered at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. The broad mission of the Ordnance Corps is to supply Army combat units with weapons and ammunition, including at times their procurement and maintenance. Since the establishment of the United States Army in 1775, three regiments have held the designation 28th Infantry Regiment. The first was a provisional unit that was constituted on 29 January 1813 and served during The War of 1812. The second was a reorganization and redesignation of 2nd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment on 1 October 1866 for the American Indian Wars. This incarnation of the 28th Infantry Regiment lasted until 15 March 1869, when it was consolidated back into the 19th Infantry Regiment. The third version of the 28th Infantry Regiment is the one that has the permanent designation and history, and is the one this article is about.

The Brigade motto is "Provide with Pride". The Brigade call sign is "Rough Riders". The 43rd Sustainment Brigade has deployed overseas to Somalia, Cuba, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. On 9 July 2015 the 43rd Sustainment Brigade was inactivated. Subordinate units were reassigned to the 4th Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade.

The 555th Engineer Brigade "Triple Nickel" is a combat engineer brigade of the United States Army based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. The brigade is a Corps separate falling directly under I Corps. The 555 numbering was first used in 1947, but the brigade traces its history to a group active under the 1103d designation from 1943 to 1946.
13th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion is a modular, corps-level support organization Battalion responsible for providing multifunctional logistics support to maneuver, fires, and effects organizations as well as multifunctional logistics assistance to other support organizations. The 13th CSSB was formerly stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, and was a subordinate unit of the 3rd Sustainment Brigade. The battalion was deactivated in October 2011 at Ft Benning and reflagged from the former 80th Ordnance Battalion at Joint Base Lewis/McChord. The battalion is now subordinate to the 593rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command.
The 201st Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade is located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. The 201st was originally named the 201st Military Intelligence Brigade and on 3 July 2008 it became the Army's third active duty battlefield surveillance brigade and was renamed the 201st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade (BfSB). The US Army decided to get rid of its BfSBs and the 201st was realigned into a new expeditionary military intelligence brigade.
The 48th Chemical Brigade is a United States Army brigade located at Fort Cavazos, Texas and subordinate to the 20th CBRNE Command. The 48th Chemical Brigade is the only active duty CBRN defense brigade in the Army. The Brigade is tasked to discover, counter, and neutralize chemical, biological or nuclear threats. The Brigade was activated 16 September 2007, under the command of Colonel Vance P. (Phil) Visser and CSM E. Donald Moten.

The 3rd Ordnance Battalion (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) (unofficially referred to as the 3rd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Battalion) is a unit of the United States Army currently stationed at Joint Base Lewis–McChord. It is assigned to the 71st Ordnance Group at Fort Carson, Colorado, which is under the 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Command, Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland.
Heidi Jo Hoyle-Cleotelis is a lieutenant general in the United States Army who has served as the deputy chief of staff for logistics of the United States Army since December 2023. She was the 22nd commanding general of the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command, serving from June 23, 2020, to July 20, 2022. She previously served as the 41st chief of ordnance and commandant of the United States Army Ordnance School.
