72 Batmanspor, formerly Batman Belediyespor, is a Turkish sports club based in Batman. The football club plays in the Turkish Amateur League.

Batman is a Kurdish-majority city in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey and the capital of Batman Province. It lies on a plateau, 540 meters above sea level, near the confluence of the Batman River and the Tigris. The Batı Raman oil field, which is the largest oil field in Turkey, is located just outside the city. Batman has a local airport and a military airbase, which was used for transit of aircraft and helicopters in some search and rescue operations during the Gulf War.
The Batman River is a major tributary of the Tigris, joining it near the source of Tigris called Dicle River in southeast Turkey. The region along the Batman River is known for its oil fields.
Batman Province is a province in the Southeast Anatolia Region of Turkey. It was created in May 1990 with the Law No. 3647 taking some parts from the eastern Province of Siirt and some from the southern Province of Mardin. The province's population exceeded 500,000 in 2010. The city of Batman with 460,955 inhabitants, is the provincial capital. Its current Governor is Hulusi Şahin.
Batman Dam is one of the 22 dams of the Southeastern Anatolia Project of Turkey, built on the Batman River, north of Batman, in southeastern of Turkey. It was constructed between 1986 and 1999. There is a hydroelectric power plant, established in 1998, at the dam, with a power output of 191.7 MW. The dam is designed to service an irrigation area of 37,744 ha. The Silvan Dam is located upstream.
Karşıyaka Spor Kulübü also known as Karşıyaka is a Turkish sports club located in Karşıyaka, Izmir. Founded in 1912, they are Izmir's oldest club. Like all others in Turkey; the "SK" suffix refers to sports club, as besides football the club has sports branches in basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis, swimming, sailing, billiards, and bowling. The club's football team currently compete in the TFF Third League, the fourth tier of the Turkish football league system. The basketball team currently compete in the Turkish Basketball League and the women's volleyball team in the Turkish Women's Second League.

Batmen of All Nations are a group of fictional superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The characters were inspired by the superhero Batman to fight crime in their respective countries. The group first appeared in Detective Comics #215. Later the Batmen of All Nations were renamed the International Club of Heroes, often known as just the Club of Heroes. Post-Crisis on Infinite Earths, they were named the Dome and were not inspired by Batman but the Justice Society of America.
Silvan Dam is an embankment concrete-face rock-fill currently under construction on the Batman River in the district of Silvan, Diyarbakır Province in southeastern Turkey. It is part of the Southeastern Anatolia Project and located upstream of the Batman Dam. Construction began on 26 July 2011 and is expected to be complete in 2022. The purpose of the dam is hydroelectric power production and irrigation. It is designed to irrigate an area of 245,000 ha. The power station will have an installed capacity of 160 MW.
Batman Petrolspor is a professional Turkish football club located in the city of Batman. Formed in 1960, the club colours are red, white, and black and they play their home matches at Batman Arena. The club is named Petrolspor because Batman is the largest producer of oil in Turkey.

Garzan Dam is an embankment dam on the Garzan River 9 km (5.6 mi) northeast of Kozluk in Batman Province, Turkey. It is part of the Southeastern Anatolia Project and has a primary purpose of hydroelectric power generation and irrigation. Surveys for the dam were completed in 2008, construction began in 2009 and the dam began to impound its reservoir in October 2012. The power plant has an installed capacity of 49 MW. The irrigation works remain under construction and are expected to irrigate an area of 40,000 ha when complete. The dam was awarded to FERNAS Energy Electricity Generation Co. Inc. in 2011 under a build–operate–transfer basis.
Batman '66 is a superhero comic book series published by DC Comics featuring Batman as a continuation of the 1966–68 television series starring Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin. The series was written primarily by Jeff Parker and Tom Peyer, with cover art by Mike Allred. The 2018 Gercüş bombing happened in Gercüş, Batman Province in Umutlu village on 4 October 2018 around 6:00 (EEST) when Kurdistan Workers' Party militants detonated a remote-controlled bomb when an armoured personnel carrier carrying soldiers to Dargeçit, Mardin Province. 8 soldiers died and 1 other was heavily injured as a result.
