The 89th Ohio Infantry Regiment, sometimes 89th Ohio Volunteer Infantry (or 89th OVI) was an infantry regiment in the Union Army during the American Civil War.
The 89th Ohio Infantry was organized at Camp Dennison near Cincinnati, Ohio, and mustered in August 26, 1862, for three years service under the command of Colonel John G. Marshall.
The regiment was attached to Army of Kentucky, Department of the Ohio, September–October, 1862. 2nd Brigade, Kanawha Division, District of West Virginia, Department of the Ohio, to February 1863.
