The league features twenty-five teams in Ontario, one in Quebec, and one in the Akwesasne that annually play a 20-game schedule and four rounds of playoffs for the J. A. MacDonald Trophy. After the conclusion of the playoffs, a league champion represents the OJBLL at the Founders Cup National Junior B Championship.

It is a 12 team league wherein the top 8 go to the playoffs and battle it out for top spot in Ontario. The playoff Champion moves on to compete for the National Championship — the Minto Cup.
The Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena & Skating Centre is a recreation complex in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It includes a figure skating rink and a 2,500-seat ice hockey arena. Originally it was built in 1966, known as the Mountain Arena until it was renovated in 2005 and renamed in honour of Dave Andreychuk, a former ice hockey player from Hamilton.
Si Miller Arena, formerly known as Water Street Arena, is an indoor arena located at 229 Water Street East in Cornwall, Ontario. It was built in 1936 and hosted the Cornwall Royals between 1969 and 1976, during part of their time in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, before they moved into the Cornwall Civic Complex. The arena was renamed in honour of Si Miller, the City of Cornwall's Director of Parks and Recreation from 1963 until his retirement on December 31, 1994. The arena features a 185' x 85' ice surface and a seating capacity of 700 people.

It was built in 1966 and occasionally hosted the Toronto Marlboros of the Ontario Hockey League. It was renamed on May 2, 2001 for Herb Carnegie, a black Canadian ice hockey pioneer. This arena hosts the North York Rangers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League team. The arena also offers has leisure skating organized by the City of Toronto government. CKON-FM is a private radio station located in Akwesasne, a Mohawk nation territory that straddles the Canada–United States border. The station's studios are located in the Akwesasne Communication Society Building; that building is itself on both sides of the international border, with part of it being in Hogansburg, New York, and part of it in Saint Regis, Quebec. The ACS building was deliberately constructed on the international border as a symbol of Mohawk defiance between Canada and the United States, as well as an expression of communal unity.
