The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season.
The NCAA Women's Water Polo Championship has existed since the 2001 season. Seven conferences have teams competing in women's water polo: the Big West Conference, the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA), the single-sport Golden Coast Conference, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA). Some teams compete at Division III either as members of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference or independently. Teams qualify by either winning their respective conference tournament or receiving one of the few at large bids available. Unlike most NCAA sports, only one National Collegiate championship is held each season with teams from Division I, Division II, and Division III competing together.
California State University, Fullerton is a public research university in Fullerton, California. With a total enrollment of more than 41,000, it has the largest student body of the California State University (CSU) system, and its graduate student body of more than 5,000 is one of the largest in the CSU and in all of California. As of fall 2016, the school had 2,083 faculty, of whom 782 were on the tenure track. The university offers 109 degree programs: 55 undergraduate degrees and 54 graduate degrees, including 3 doctoral programs.

The Cal State Fullerton Titans football program represented California State University, Fullerton from the 1970 through 1992 seasons. The Titans originally competed as a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Association from 1970 to 1973 before moving to the Pacific Coast Athletic Association in 1974 where they remained through the 1991 season. The Titans would compete in their final year as an I-A Independent prior to the program being disbanded. Fullerton played its home games at multiple stadiums throughout their history with the most recent being Titan Stadium, in Fullerton, California.

The West Coast Hockey Conference (WCHC) is an ACHA Division 2 and 3 club hockey league which began play in the Fall of 2010. The six charter schools were Arizona State, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Northern Arizona and San Diego State.

The 2011–12 Cal State Fullerton Titans men's basketball team represented California State University, Fullerton during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Titans, led by ninth year head coach Bob Burton, played their home games at Titan Gym and are members of the Big West Conference. They finished the season 21–10, 12–4 in Big West play to finish in a tie for second place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big West tournament to UC Irvine. They were invited to the 2012 CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they lost in the first round to Loyola Marymount.

The Titans, led by first year head coach Dedrique Taylor, played their home games at Titan Gym as members of the Big West Conference. The Titans brought in a whole new coaching staff this season with Josh Smith, Robert Spence, and Danny Sprinkle joining Taylor as first-year assistant coaches. They finished the season 11–20, 6–10 in Big West play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big West Conference tournament to Long Beach State.
The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's tennis team competes at the NCAA Division I Collegiate level and is a member of the Big West Conference. All home collegiate tennis matches are played at the California State University, Fullerton, Titan Courts, located in Fullerton, California.
The 1974 Cal State Fullerton Titans football team represented California State University, Fullerton as a member of the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA) during the 1974 NCAA Division I football season. This was Cal State Fullerton's first year competing at the NCAA Division I level and as a member of the PCAA, but the Titans' games against conference opponents did not count in the conference standings until the 1975 season. They had previously been in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Led by third-year head coach Pete Yoder, Cal State Fullerton compiled an overall record 4–7. The Titans played home games at Santa Ana Stadium in Santa Ana, California.
Volley Hermaea is an Italian women's volleyball club based in Olbia and currently playing in the Serie A2.
Jason Gill is an American baseball coach and former shortstop and third baseman. He played college baseball for Cuesta College, Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State Fullerton from 1991 to 1994. He then served as the head coach of the Loyola Marymount Lions (2009–2019) the USC Trojans (2019–2022).
