ARY Digital UK is a British Pakistani Urdu entertainment channel, It is the British feed of ARY Digital This feed is available in the United Kingdom.

The channel broadcasts on linear television on Sky Channel 758 as well as streaming programs on YouTube and ARY ZAP. ARY Digital UK have a exclusive website, facebook and Instagram pages and specials clips of TV shows are available on all YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok platforms under ARY Digital HD.

History

ARY Network was launched in the United Kingdom in December 2000 as the Pakistani channel to cater to the Pakistani community living in the region.[ citation needed ] It used Samacom, an uplink provider based in the UAE, as the uplink teleport station. [1]

Later, the channel rebranded to ARY Digital. It started off with a format similar to PTV Prime and other South Asian channels; it provided slots for soap operas in general while presenting an hourly slot for news headlines.

In February 2017, ARY Network UK, which consisted of ARY Digital, ARY News, ARY QTV, ARY World News and ARY Entertainment was banned in the UK. [2]

In March 2017, a company called New Vision TV bought the rights to broadcast ARY News [3] and ARY Digital [4] in the UK. In April 2017, ARY News was relaunched as New Vision TV ARY World, [5] airing content from ARY News and some UK based shows. On 12 December 2017, ARY Digital UK relaunched as ARY Family airing content from ARY Digital and launching a few UK based shows. [6]

On 13 November 2020, ARY Family UK rebranded to ARY Digital UK airing content from ARY Digital and some shows for UK viewers. [7]

Programming

The channel line-up include dramas, sitcoms, comedy, feature films, teleplay, educational shows and series. The channel also broadcast religious shows during Islamic events.

Neelam Muneer Khan is a Pakistani actress and model who appears in television dramas and films. She is best known for portraying the role of Ulfat in television series Dil Mom Ka Diya (2018), which earned her a nomination at the 18th Lux Style Awards for Best TV Actress. She made her film debut with comedy-thriller film Chupan Chupai (2017), followed by a starring role in romantic-comedy Wrong No. 2 (2019), both of which were commercially successful.

Geo Entertainment or Har Pal Geo is a Pakistani entertainment television channel owned by Geo Television Network was established in May 2002. Its test transmission started on 14 August 2002 on the PAS 10 digital satellite whereas on 1 October 2002 the regular transmission of Geo Entertainment was started.

Meray Paas Tum Ho is a 2019 Pakistani romantic drama series produced by Humayun Saeed and Shahzad Nasib under their production banner Six Sigma Plus. Directed by Nadeem Baig and written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, the show starred Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan and Adnan Siddiqui as leads. The show aired on ARY Digital from 17 August 2019 to 25 January 2020. It is also digitally available on YouTube and the ARY Zap App.

Wahaj Ali is a Pakistani actor known for his appearance on Urdu television. After making his television debut with the soap serial Ishq Ibadat in 2015, Ali gained critical praise for playing Bangladeshi freedom fighter Shafi Imam Rumi in Jo Bichar Gaye (2021). He has also appeared in other notable roles. In 2023, Ali earned wider recognition, especially across the South Asian continent, for his portrayal of Murtasim Khan in the romance drama Tere Bin.

Bikhray Moti is a 2020 Pakistani television series that premiered on 26 May 2020, on ARY Digital. It is co-produced by Humayun Saeed and Samina Humayun Saeed under their banners Six Sigma Plus and Next Level Entertainment. The main cast includes Neelam Muneer, Yasir Nawaz, and Wahaj Ali. The story revolves around Ayeza, played by Muneer, a strong and independent girl who after her sister's death has no choice but to obtain custody of her niece and nephews by marrying her cruel brother-in-law. It ended later In November.

<i>Nand</i> (TV series) Pakistani television soap series

Nand is a Pakistani soap series aired on ARY Digital from 4 August 2020 to 13 April 2021. It is produced by Fahad Mustafa under Big Bang Entertainment. It stars Javeria Saud, Minal Khan, Aijaz Aslam and Shahroz Sabzwari and Faiza Hasan.
