ASO Chlef, an Algerian professional association football club, has gained entry to Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions on several occasions. They have represented Algeria in the Champions League on two occasions and the Confederation Cup on two occasions.

History

ASO Chlef whose team has regularly taken part in Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions. Qualification for Algerian clubs is determined by a team's performance in its domestic league and cup competitions, ASO Chlef have regularly qualified for the primary African competition, the CAF Champions League, by winning the Ligue Professionnelle 1. ASO Chlef have also achieved African qualification via the Algerian Cup. The first continental participation was in 2006 in the CAF Confederation Cup after winning the Algerian Cup, and the first match was against AS Douanes and ended with a draw 0–0, As for the biggest win was in 2012 against ASFA Yennenga 4–1, and biggest loss in 2007 against Al-Merrikh 3–0.

Association Sportive Olympique de Chlef, known as ASO Chlef or simply ASO for short, is an Algerian football club based in Chlef, founded in 1947. The club colours are red and white. Their home stadium, Stade Mohamed Boumezrag, has a capacity of some 20,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

The Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 was previously called the Tunisian National Championship between 1956 and 1994. is the top division football tournament in Tunisia under the organization of the Tunisian Football Federation. He is considered one of the most successful coaches in Tunisia. He usually uses offensive play and a high-pressure plan as he is known for his toughness in training and his excessive anger towards his players and referees. Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie, an Algerian professional association football club, has gained entry to Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions on several occasions. They have represented Algeria in the Champions League on sixteen occasions, the Confederation Cup on five occasions, the now-defunct Cup Winners' Cup two occasions, and the now-defunct CAF Cup four occasions.

But since Etoile du Sahel has already qualified for this competition after finishing in the 3rd position in Ligue 1, and CS Sfaxien having already qualified for the 2015 CAF Champions League after finishing 2nd, the qualification for the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup went to the club that finished 4th in Ligue 1, Club Africain.
