A Day at the Bay is the debut album by the Australian rock band Tlot Tlot and their first release under that name. It was released in 1991. It was only released on cassette.
Tlot Tlot were an Australian pop rock band formed in 1986 as Man in the Wood. The original line-up was Owen Bolwell on bass guitar and lead vocals, Andrew Briant on lead guitar, and Stanley Paulzen on drums and lead vocals. Briant left in 1991 and the band name was changed to Tlot Tlot. Their 1995 single, "The Girlfriend Song", reached the ARIA Singles Chart Top 100 and was nominated for Best Pop Release at ARIA Music Awards of 1995. The group issued four albums, A Day at the Bay (1991), Pistolbuttsa'twinkle (1992), The Live Set - Volume 1 (1993) and Fashion Takes a Holiday (1995), before disbanding in 1997.

"Marshall" was later retitled "Under the Water" and completely rerecorded with Merril Bainbridge on vocals, appearing on her debut album The Garden in 1995 and being released as a single.
"Under the Water" is a pop song written in 1990 by Owen Bolwell and Stanley Paulzen, produced by Siew for Merril Bainbridge's first album The Garden (1995). It was released as the album's second single in July 1995 in Australia and February 1997 in the United States. The song is about a lover who drowned. At the APRA Music Awards of 1996 it won a trophy for Most Performed Australian Work.
Merril Bainbridge is an Australian pop music singer and songwriter. Her debut was in 1994 with the single, "Mouth", which peaked at number one for six consecutive weeks in Australia and became a top five hit in the United States.
The Garden is the first album by Australian singer Merril Bainbridge, released in Australia on 31 July 1995 by Gotham Records. The album has a main genre of alternative pop songs — some written by Bainbridge herself, Owen Bolwell, Stan Paulzen and Siew. The Garden debuted inside the top ten on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart and is her highest selling album to date, being certified double platinum by ARIA. The album nominated Bainbridge for eight awards throughout the 1995 and the 1996 ARIA Awards including; "Best Pop Release", "Breakthrough Artist - Single", "Best New Talent", "Best Female Artist", "Single of the Year", "Breakthrough Artist - Album", "Highest Selling Single" and "Highest Selling Album".
On Owen Bolwell's website Bubblerr, he mentions that the album was recorded concurrently with Frente's debut EP Whirled.
All songs except tracks 5, 6, 10, 11, 13 and 14 were rereleased on Pistolbuttsa'twinkle in 1992. Track 5 was released as a B-side to the "Old Mac" single in 1992, while tracks 6, 10, 11, 13 and 14 were rereleased on Pistolbuttsatwinkle'atwinkle in 1993. All tracks were remixed, overdubbed and remastered for the CD releases.
Pistolbuttsa'twinkle is the second album by Australian rock band Tlot Tlot. The album was released in 1992 and compiles eight remastered versions of cuts from the band's debut, A Day at the Bay, with previously unreleased songs from the sessions.

Frente! are an Australian alternative rock and folk-pop group which originally formed in 1989. The original line-up consisted of Simon Austin on guitar and backing vocals, Angie Hart on lead vocals, Tim O'Connor on bass guitar, and Mark Picton on drums. In August 1991 they issued their debut extended play, Whirled, which included the track, "Labour of Love". In March 1992 they released a second EP, Clunk, with its featured track, "Ordinary Angels", which peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Singles Chart. It was followed in October by "Accidently Kelly Street" which reached No. 4. Their debut album, Marvin the Album, issued in November, peaked at No. 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart. "Labour of Love" was released as an EP outside of Australasia in 1994 as a CD single with a cover version of New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle" included. The Australian rock music historian Ian McFarlane felt that the group's "quirky, irreverent, acoustic-based sound was at odds with the usual guitar-heavy, grunge trends of the day. The band's presentation had a tweeness about it that could have been off-putting if not for its genuine freshness and honesty".

Additional videos were made for "Lonely" and "Bizarre Love Triangle" when these tracks were appended to the international release.

The Live Set - Volume 1 is the third album by the Australian alternative rock band Tlot Tlot. It was released in 1993. The bulk of the album consists of rerecorded versions of songs that appeared on A Day at the Bay and Pistolbuttsa'twinkle, a re-recorded version of the single "Old Mac", three unreleased songs and two covers of Depeche Mode's single "Just Can't Get Enough", one of which appears as a hidden track at the end of the album. These recordings consist mainly of the stripped down bass/keyboards/drums versions of the songs used to back the band in live performances.
