Violent Femmes are an American folk punk band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The band consists of singer, guitarist and songwriter Gordon Gano, bassist Brian Ritchie, saxophonist and keyboardist Blaise Garza, and drummer John Sparrow.

Body Harvest is an action-adventure video game for the Nintendo 64 video game console, developed by DMA Design. It was intended to be a Nintendo 64 launch title, but was delayed due to its original publisher, Nintendo, having issues with the game's violent themes, and eventual dropping of the title, leaving DMA to find a new publisher. "Touch Me I'm Sick" was released as Mudhoney's debut single by independent record label Sub Pop on August 1, 1988. Sick Love is a remix album by V/Vm consisting of remixed pop songs about love. Each song on the album has been meticulously pitch shifted in order to create a completely new melody, as well as to distort the musical and vocal recordings, achieving a darker tone than the original recording. The resulting album is a collection of vaguely recognizable love songs rendered 'sick' sounding and eerie, at times almost approaching Noise music. Through V/Vm's remixes, the vocalists sound more like monsters and the music suggests tension instead of affection. The affected tracks might feel more at home on a horror film soundtrack than on the radio. The single "The Lady In Red ", a cover of Lady in Red, received some airplay in the UK and achieved single of the week in the NME.
Violent Soho are an Australian alternative rock band that was formed in 2004 in the Brisbane suburb of Mansfield, Queensland. The band consists of Luke Boerdam, James Tidswell, Luke Henery and Michael Richards. Their sound has been compared to that of 1980s and 1990s alternative rock bands such as the Pixies, Mudhoney and Nirvana. The band's third studio album, Hungry Ghost, was certified Gold in Australia in September 2014. Their fourth album, Waco, debuted at number 1 on the Australian iTunes and ARIA charts in 2016. The band's fifth album, Everything Is A-OK, was released on 3 April 2020.

It is a collection of tracks each made in a matter of days, which Funk considers more of "a collection of short stories than a novel... diary entries." It was the first release on Funk's new record label, Timesig, but was distributed through Planet Mu. The cover artwork entitled "Második Galamb" was painted by Christopher Umana.
"Breakn' a Sweat" is a song by American electronic music producer Skrillex. It is the third track on his fourth EP, Bangarang. It features guest vocal and musical contributions from the surviving members of the American rock band the Doors. It was created for Re:GENERATION_music_project, a 2012 documentary film. It contains a vocal sample from a 1960s interview with Jim Morrison, while the remaining members of the Doors and Skrillex did the chants. The song received generally positive reviews from music critics, with some highlighting it as the standout track from the EP. The song charted at number 32 on the UK Singles Chart. The Zedd remix of "Breakn' a Sweat" was sampled in Ty Dolla Sign's song "My Cabana". Zedd included his remix on the Deluxe Edition of Clarity.

The Violent Sleep of Reason is the eighth full-length album by Swedish progressive metal band Meshuggah. It was released on 7 October 2016 via Nuclear Blast. This album was recorded live in the studio, simultaneously with all members, rather than recording each instrument separately as is more common for modern recording. The band announced the new album, its title, and track list via Blabbermouth.net and Revolver magazine on 5 August 2016.
The Canadian electronic musician Aaron Funk, better known as Venetian Snares, has released 30 studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums, 19 extended plays (EPs), eight singles, four promotional singles, one remix, and one music video. Funk began producing music in 1992 and self-released several cassettes during the 90's. His first official release was the 1999 EP, Greg Hates Car Culture, followed by his first full-length solo album, printf("shiver in eternal darkness/n"); in May 2000.
Greg Hates Car Culture is a breakcore EP released by Venetian Snares in 1999 on Minneapolis-based label History of the Future. It was his first official release and led to him being signed by Planet Mu. Twenty years later, a re-mastered version was re-released with three extra tracks on Timesig, a sublabel of Planet Mu. The tracks were originally made using an Amiga 500 and an effects pedal.

Alien is the fifth studio album by Australian metalcore band Northlane. It was released on 2 August 2019 through UNFD. It was self-produced by the band themselves and recorded at Chris Blancato's Studio in Sydney, although Marcus Bridge's vocals were recorded at Electric Sun Studios in Arndell Park. The album's second single, "Bloodline", shows the group's continuity of slight departure from their metalcore roots and towards a more alternative and experimental sound, as established on their previous releases, Node and Mesmer. It also marks the group's first shift into different genres, as they blended into the album elements of nu metal, industrial metal and EDM. This is the last album to feature their founding bassist Alex Milovic, who only appeared on the track "Vultures".
