A Tale of Two Andres is an album released by Bay Area rappers Andre Nickatina and Mac Dre. Initially conceived in 2004, it was released in 2008.

Andre L. Adams, better known by his stage name Andre Nickatina, is an American rapper from San Francisco, California. He previously performed under the stage name Dre Dog.

Mac Dre American rapper

Andre Louis Hicks, known professionally as Mac Dre, was an American rapper and record producer based in Oakland, CA. He was instrumental in the emergence of Hyphy, a cultural movement in the Bay Area hip-hop scene that emerged in the early 00s. Hicks is considered one of the movement's key pioneers that fueled it's popularity into mainstream, releasing songs with fast-paced rhymes and baselines that inspired a new style of dance. As the founder of the independent record label, Thizz Entertainment, Hicks recorded dozens of albums and gave aspiring rappers an outlet to release albums locally. In 2004, Hicks killed by an unknown assailant after a music performance in Kansas City, Missouri, In 2011, Time Magazine reported that his murder was still unsolved.

Snowgoons band

Snowgoons is a German underground hip hop production team composed of DJ Illegal and Det. In 2011, producers Sicknature from Denmark and J.S. Kuster from Germany joined the group. Det and DJ Illegal first started in 1999 as the two original members. In 2008 they decided to add a third member, DJ Waxwork from Germany, who was a part of the group until 2009. The Snowgoons are known for using orchestral/epic samples and for working with underground MCs, like members of Wu-Tang Clan, AOTP, Boot Camp Click and La Coka Nostra. The team cite DJ Premier, Alchemist and RZA as influences. They have released several Snowgoons albums. They also did several collaboration albums with artists like Reef the Lost Cauze, M.O.P., PMD and Sean Strange and Onyx. They planned to release an album with the hiphop group Krush Unit for several years, but the album was never released.

J Peezy, is an American rapper, song writer and entrepreneur. J Peezy started in the rap group called The Odyssey, alongside American actor Mahershalalhashbaz Ali. As an independent solo artist, J Peezy has worked with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and performed or recorded with Ne-Yo, Ice Cube, Too Short, and Baby Bash. On June 10, 2011, J Peezy's single "It's My Time" was the "Most Added Urban Track" along with Rihanna's single "Man Down" according to the DJ Times National Club Charts.
