Lem Winchester and the Ramsey Lewis Trio (subtitled Perform a Tribute to Clifford Brown) is the debut album by American jazz vibraphonist Lem Winchester and the third album by Ramsey Lewis' Trio featuring tracks associated with trumpeter Clifford Brown recorded in 1958 and released on the Argo label.^[1]

Lem Winchester was an American jazz vibraphone player.

Ramsey Emmanuel Lewis Jr. is an American jazz composer, pianist and radio personality. Ramsey Lewis has recorded over 80 albums and has received five gold records and three Grammy Awards so far in his career.

Clifford Benjamin Brown was an American jazz trumpeter. He died at the age of 25 in a car accident, leaving behind four years' worth of recordings. He was also a composer of note: three of his compositions, "Sandu," "Joy Spring" and "Daahoud", have become jazz standards.

The vibraphone is a musical instrument in the struck idiophone subfamily of the percussion family. It consists of tuned metal bars, and is usually played by holding two or four soft mallets and striking the bars. A person who plays the vibraphone is called a vibraphonist or vibraharpist.

The piano is an acoustic, stringed musical instrument invented in Italy by Bartolomeo Cristofori around the year 1700, in which the strings are struck by hammers. It is played using a keyboard, which is a row of keys that the performer presses down or strikes with the fingers and thumbs of both hands to cause the hammers to strike the strings.

Eldee Young was a jazz double-bass and cello player who performed in the cool jazz, post bop and rhythm and blues mediums.
