Padmanabha Subramaniam was an Indian film producer, film director, distributor, theatre owner, and mayor. He is the founder of Merryland Studio, the second film studio in Kerala.
Aloysius Vincent was an Indian cinematographer and director known for his works in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language films. From the mid-1960s on, he directed some 30 movies including the landmark Malayalam films Bhargavi Nilayam, and Murappennu.

Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair was an Indian poet, playwright, script writer, lyricist, orator, film director and actor, though he is best known as an actor in Malayalam cinema. He is the recipient of Padma Shri from the Government of India, which is one of the highest civilian honours in India. In a career that spanned about 47 years, he acted in over 700 films. He is considered to be the "first superstar of Malayalam cinema". In 1993, he was honoured with the J. C. Daniel Award, Kerala government's highest honour for contributions to Malayalam cinema.
Poova Thalaiya is a 1969 Indian Tamil-language comedy film written and directed by K. Balachander. The film stars Gemini Ganesh, Jaishankar, Nagesh, S. Varalakshmi, Rajasree and Vennira Aadai Nirmala. It was released on 10 May 1969. The film was remade in Telugu as Bomma Borusa, in Malayalam as Balapareekshanam and in Kannada as Balondu Uyyale. It was also an influence on the 2000 Tamil film Kandha Kadamba Kathir Vela.
Kaattumaina is a 1963 Indian film, directed by M. Krishnan Nair and produced by P. Subramaniam. Shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Tamil languages, the film stars J. Sasikumar, K. V. Shanthi, Muttathara Soman and Muthukulam Raghavan Pillai. The Malayalam version was released on 31 August 1963, and the Tamil version on 18 October. Both versions were successful.
Kaattumallika is a 1966 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed and produced by P. Subramaniam. The film stars Vaikkam Mani, Kalpana, Babu Joseph and C. L. Anandan. The film had musical score by M. S. Baburaj. Kattumallika is essentially a remake of the 1941 Tamil film Vana Mohini.
Kumara Sambhavam is a 1969 Indian Malayalam-language Hindu mythological film directed and produced by P. Subramaniam. Based on the epic poem of the poet Kalidasa of the same name, it stars Gemini Ganesan, Padmini, Srividya and Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair. The film won the first ever Kerala State Film Award for Best Film. The film stood apart in technical quality when compared to previous Malayalam films and is hence regarded as a landmark in the history of Malayalam cinema. It also marked Sridevi's first Malayalam film. The film was dubbed in Tamil under the same title.
Sree Guruvayoorappan is a 1972 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed and produced by P. Subramaniam. The film stars Gemini Ganesan, Sharada, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair and Jose Prakash. The film had musical score by V. Dakshinamoorthy. The plot includes the origin story of Guruvayoor Temple. As soon as Dwarka went beneath the sea, Uddhava reached then shore as instructed by Lord Krishna prior to his demise. He with the help of Vayu got hold of the divine idol worshipped by Lord Krishna and his parents for all three Yugas. With help of Parashurama and Brihaspati the idol was installed in divine land created by Parasurama by his axe. Bhargava Kshetra, modern day Kerala. The miracles of Lord Guruvayoorappan forms the crux of plot.
Swami Ayyappan is a 1975 Indian Hindu mythological film. Directed and produced by P. Subramaniam, it was simultaneously shot in Malayalam and Tamil. The film stars Gemini Ganesan, Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair, Master Raghu/Karan, K. Balaji, Sekhar, Srividya, Unnimary, Lakshmi, Raghavan, Rani Chandra and Vinodini. The film met with critical acclaim and became a box office success. It won four Kerala State Film Awards. The film helped in popularising the shrine of Sabarimala further in Tamilnadu and other southern Indian states.
T. K. Balachandran was an Indian actor who worked mainly in Malayalam films. He has acted in more than 200 films. His areas of contribution includes production, dialogue, story, screenplay. He is the first actor to play a double role in the history of Malayalam cinema.
K. V. Shanthi known by her stage name Shanthi was an Indian actress acted in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil movies. She was a prominent lead actress and dancer in Indian Cinema during the late 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. She appeared in famous Hindi films like Chori Chori of 1956.

The film was dubbed in Hindi as Jai Jagat Janani (1976).

Anandan, born as C. L. Anandan, was an Indian actor and producer who was active in Tamil cinema as well in Malayalam cinema during the second half of the 20th century. He was well known for his hero, supporting, and villain roles. In a career spanning close to three decades, he acted in about 60 films in Tamil and Malayalam, in which 25 films had him as hero. Anandan debuted in a supporting role in the Tamil movie Thandhai, and later he holds the heroic role in Vijayapuri Veeran. He made a move on the Malayalam film industry; Kaattumaina was his first Malayalam movie, which was also re-shot in Tamil. He appeared in a song sequence "Us Paar Saajan" as a fisherman dancer from the Hindi film Chori Chori (1956).
Kulavilakku is a 1969 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan. A remake of the Malayalam film Adhyapika (1968), it stars B. Saroja Devi and Gemini Ganesan. The film was released on 14 June 1969.
