The Aarhus Tigers are an American Football club located in Aarhus, Denmark. The team was founded in 1990. [1]
The Tigers were founded in 1990 and played two practices games in that first year. [1] In the following year they already competed in the top level league of Denmark losing the first game following by a streak of ten wins. The last game of that steak was the Mermaid Bowl were the young team won its first national championship in its first season. In 1992 the Tigers became the first Danish team to compete in the European Football League where they lost in the first round against the Aix-en-Provence Argonautes with 0–50. [2] Also in the national championship the lost their first playoff game.

The club's first team, which plays in the Danish Superliga, plays its home games at Brøndby Stadium, where its team plays in blue shorts and socks and yellow shirts.

Lars Christian Olsen is a Danish former footballer and current manager, who was most recently the manager of Esbjerg fB in the Danish Superliga. Flemming Søgaard Povlsen is a Danish football pundit and former professional footballer who played as a striker. Before the injury, Povlsen rose to prominence at FC Cologne, before settling at Borussia Dortmund, with whom he won the 1995 Bundesliga and played the final half of his career. At an international level, he was among the profiles on the Denmark squad that won the 1992 UEFA European Football Championship.
Claus Thomsen is a Danish former professional footballer. He won the Danish Cup with AGF Aarhus and played in England for top level teams Ipswich Town and Everton, as well as Wolfsburg in Germany. He played 20 matches for the Danish national team, and represented Denmark at the 1992 Summer Olympics and 1996 European Championship.

Per Frimann Hansen is a Danish former football player. He played 158 matches as a midfielder for Belgian club RSC Anderlecht, with whom he won three Belgian championships, as well as the 1983 UEFA Cup. He played 17 matches and scored one goal for the Danish national team, and represented his country at the 1986 FIFA World Cup and 1988 European Championship.

Vejlby Skovbakken Aarhus is a Danish football club based in Risskov, a neighbourhood in Aarhus.
