Aaron Fiacconi (born November 12, 1979, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) is a retired professional Canadian football offensive lineman. He announced his retirement on June 2, 2012. [1] He most recently played for five seasons for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. He was signed as fourth round draft pick (32nd overall) by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2002 CFL Draft. He played college football at Mansfield.

The Edmonton Eskimos are a professional Canadian football team based in Edmonton, Alberta, competing in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Eskimos play their home games at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium and are the third-youngest franchise in the CFL. The Eskimos were founded in 1949, although there were clubs with the name Edmonton Eskimos as early as 1895. The Eskimos are arguably the most successful CFL franchise of the modern era, having won the league's Grey Cup championship fourteen times, second overall only to the Toronto Argonauts who have won seventeen. This includes a three-peat between 1954 and 1956 and an unmatched five consecutive wins between 1978 and 1982, and most recently in 2015.

Fiacconi has also played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. [2] Currently, he stays involved in football by coaching offensive linemen at a high school in the Edmonton Area. Fiacconi was inducted into the Sault Ste Marie Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.

The GFL Memorial Gardens is a 4,928 seat sports and entertainment centre in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. It opened on September 29, 2006, replacing the now demolished Sault Memorial Gardens. The new building was constructed directly next door to the former Memorial Gardens and incorporated its most distinctive feature, the Memorial Tower, into its plans. The block surrounding the arena is called "Memorial Square."
