She was born in Odakaali in Perumbavoor, Kerala, a Muslim girl who had suffered a lot for learning dance in Kalamandalam. She acted in more than 50 movies.

Santo Krishnan, also known as Krishnan Nair, was an Indian athlete and stuntsman. Having appeared in more than 1000 films, he died of sickness on 6 July 2013.
