Abdou Salam Baco (born c. 1965) is a Mahoraisan writer. He was born in Mzoizia in Mayotte. He has written three books, and founded the musical group Mobissa.

Mattanur Sankarankutty is an Indian percussionist who plays the chenda, Thayambaka, Panchari melam, and Panchavadyam. He was born in Mattanur in Kannur district of Kerala. He was awarded the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award in 1996, the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2009 and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2012.

He played collegiately at the University of Minnesota, and won the Outland Trophy in 1960 as the nation's best lineman. He played professional football with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and was made a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1984. Brown was inducted into College Football Hall of Fame in 2003.

Tyrrell was born in Salisbury, Zimbabwe and worked as a professor of music and executive editor of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians. He died on October 4, 2018, aged 76.

Rutledge Wood is an auto racing analyst and TV show host. Wood was one of three hosts for History's Top Gear along with Adam Ferrara and Tanner Foust, which premiered on November 21, 2010. Until 2013, he was one of the hosts for NASCAR Trackside. He was also the host of the Speed Road Tour Challenge in 2007. In 2013, Wood won the 2013 Long Beach Toyota Celebrity Race with Adam Carolla winning in the Pro Category who Wood says taught him the course. Rutledge is known for wearing thick horn rim glasses.
