Abdul Majeed Badini is a Pakistani politician from Jafarabad District. He is currently serving as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan since Feb 2024.
He was born into a Baloch family of the Badini tribe in Jafarabad District,Balochistan and became politically active in the 1990s while studying mechanical engineering at the Khuzdar Engineering University,joining the Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT),the student organization of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI),formally joining the JI itself in 2016. He contested the 2018 general elections as a Jamaat-e-Islami (Pakistan) candidate from PB-16 Jafarabad. He secured less than 2,000 votes and lost to Rahat Jamali of PML-N. [1]
He contested again in 2024 general elections on the same platform,this time winning 15,248 votes and defeating Rahat Jamali (PML-N). [2] [3] [4] It was the first time since Pakistan's independence that a Jamali lost,the Jamali tribe being influent in the wider Nasirabad Division which includes the Jafarabad District,observers attributing their loss to their lack of proactive response to the 2022 floods. Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP),is a Pakistani Islamist political party. It is the Pakistani successor to Jamaat-e-Islami,which was founded in colonial India in 1941. JIP is a "vanguard party",whose members are intended to be leaders spreading party beliefs and influence. Supporters not thought qualified to be members may become "affiliates",and beneath them are "sympathizers". The party leader is called an "ameer". Although,it does not have a large popular following,the party is quite influential and considered one of the major Islamic movements in Pakistan,along with Deobandi and Barelvi.
Mahmud Khan Achakzai is a Pakistani Pashtun regionalist politician who is the Chairman of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party. Achakzai completed his Engineering degree from the Peshawar University of Engineering and Technology. In 7th National Congress of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party on 19,20 December 2022 Mahmood khan Achakzai re elected as the Chairman Of PkMAP. He is serving as member of National Assembly of Pakistan since 29 February 2024.
General elections were held in Pakistan on 10 October 2002 to elect the 12th National Assembly and four Provincial Assemblies. The elections were held under the military government of Pervez Musharraf. The two mainstream parties,Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) had several restrictions imposed on them and their leaders Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif were in exile. In order to address the restrictions,PPP created the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) under the leadership of Ameen Faheem,to contest the elections on its behalf. The PML-N meanwhile,suffering from the party's division into two factions:one that remained loyal to Sharif and were contesting the elections under the leadership of Javed Hashmi,and the other which had broken away to form the pro-Musharraf Pakistan Muslim League (Q) (PML-Q) under the leadership of Mian Muhammad Azhar. The emergence of the PML-Q marked the beginning of multi-party politics in the country,bringing an end to the decade-long two-party system between the PPP and PML-N.
Sardar Mohammad Saleh Bhootani is a Pakistani politician who belongs to a small town Dureji which is located in Lasbela District,Balouchistan. He was the Provincial Minister of Balochistan for Local Government and Rural Development,in office from 8 September 2018 till 12 August 2023. He had been a member of Provincial Assembly of the Balochistan from August 2018 till August 2023. Previously he served as Provincial Minister of the Balochistan for Food,and Law and Parliamentary Affairs from 30 August 2018 to 8 September 2018.

General elections were held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday,25 July 2018 to elect the 51 members of 15th National Assembly from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) obtained a landslide victory in the province by winning 37 general seats and increased their margin of victory from 2013. The PTI also won 8 out of 10 reserved seats while the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) won 1 reserved seat each.
Provincial elections were held in Balochistan on 8 February 2024 to elect a new provincial legislature. On 5 August 2023,after the approval of the results of the 2023 digital census by the Council of Common Interests headed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif,elections have been delayed for several months,as new delimitations will be published on 14 December 2023. On 2 November 2023,the Election Commission of Pakistan announced,in agreement with the President of Pakistan,Arif Alvi,that the elections will be held on 8 February 2024. This election will be held concurrently with nationwide general elections and other provincial elections.
Maulana Hidayat Rahman Baloch is a Pakistani politician and social activist from Gwadar from Balochistan. He is currently serving as the provincial general secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan chapter. Baloch is also known for the Gwadar protest and for his leadership in the Haq Do Tehreek (HDT),a movement advocating for the rights of the people of Gwadar. He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan from the Gwadar constituency in 2024.

The Haq Do Tehreek,Balochistan Urdu:حقدوتحریک،بلوچستان(lit.‘Give rights to Balochistan Movement’is a Pakistani political movement and party active in southern Balochistan,mainly in Gwadar. The party's leader is Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch,who is a veteran Balochi nationalist politician from Gwadar. The party is active in southern port areas of Balochistan and protests issues like illegal fishing. The Haq Do Tehreek,Balochistanan was founded in 2021 in a coalition of politicians who advocated for human rights for Baloch people in Pakistan. The party heavily campaigned and won a majority of votes in the 2024 Balochistan provincial elections in the Balochistan provincial assembly seat PB-24. The Haq Do Tehreek also has a somewhat affiliation with the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan.
