Abena Amoah is one of Ghana's leading female investment bankers and financial advisors. On July 15, 2020, she was appointed as the Deputy Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange. In this position Ms. Amoah is responsible for the operational activities of the Exchange as well as assisting the managing director in defining and implementing the Exchange's corporate strategies and plans. Prior to this appointment, Abena was the chief executive officer for Baobab Advisors, a financial advisory services firm she founded. [1] Amoah has served on the boards of Wapic Insurance Limited (Ghana), Access Bank Limited (Ghana) and The African Women's Development Fund. [2] She received a Newmont Gold Ghana Highest Award for Excellence at the National Youth Excellence Awards in 2006. [3] And was listed as one of WomanRising's 100 Most Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs in Ghana in 2016. [4]

Education

Abena Amoah graduated from the University of Ghana Business School with a first class honor bachelor's degree in Administration. She had her secondary school education at St Roses Senior High School in the capable and humble hands of Sisters Solamen Ott and Simon Zeta of the German Dominican Nuns in Akwatia, Eastern Region, Ghana. [2] She has undertaken academic and leadership studies at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Harvard Business School and the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business. [5]

Career

Amoah resolved to establish Boabab Advisors after years of working as a stockbroker and head of the Investment Banking and Finance division at Renaissance Capital in Ghana. [6] [7] She has served as director on several boards including that of Ghana Stock Exchange, the Ghana Venture Capital Trust Fund, Pioneer Aluminium, NewWorld Renaissance Securities, Strategic African Securities, and the Ghana Securities Industry Association. [3] On the 15th of July, 2020, she was appointed as the Deputy Managing Director for Ghana Stock Exchange [8] Abena Amoah becomes the new managing director of the Ghana Stock Exchange. [9]

Abena Amoah has been in the capital market industry over the past 24 years and is highly respected for her technical knowledge, business acumen, outstanding professionalism and integrity. [10]

Abena Osei-Poku,, is a Ghanaian corporate executive who is the Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana and Regional Executive for the Anglophone West Africa (AWA) Region of the Ecobank Group. She was the former managing director and chief executive officer of Absa Bank Ghana, where she served as the managing Director for five years since September 2018 to December 2023. Before that, she worked at Absa in South Africa, where she was responsible for Corporate & Investment Banking in East and West Africa at the level of Managing Director.

Ziobeieton Yeo, is an Ivorian business executive. Yeo serves as the General Manager of Fan Milk West Africa, a subsidiary to a French multinational food corporation, Danone, based in Accra, Ghana. Addition to this, he is the managing director of Fan Milk Ghana since January 2019. Prior to joining Fan Milk, between 2002 and 2019, Yeo served continuously for 17 years in different positions at Unilever, a British multinational FMCG company in several African countries including Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Senegal and Ivory Coast. Where from January 2017 to December 2018, he was serving as country managing director for Unilever Ghana, the biggest Unilever business in Africa.
