Abhishek Mishra (born 29 August 1977) is an Indian academic and politician, who is the National Secretary and Spokesperson of the Samajwadi Party. He is a former member of the legislative assembly of Uttar Pradesh, and a former Cabinet Minister.

Mishra has a MSc degree in management from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, and a PhD in strategy and marketing from the University of Cambridge. He has worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Defence, and has trained IAS and IPS officers. He has also been a member of the faculty at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. [1]

In the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, he was elected for a five-year term, representing the Samajwadi Party in the sixteenth Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. [2] [3] For part of his term, he was a Cabinet Minister in Akhilesh Yadav's cabinet. [4] He lost his seat in the 2017 election. [5]

Omprakash Singh is an Indian politician. He has been elected as an MLA representing Ghazipur in 2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. He has been elected for the 7th term. He has also represented Ghazipur in the 12th Lok Sabha from 1998 to 1999. He is a member of the Samajwadi Party.

Mohammad Azam Khan is an Indian politician, lawyer and elected representative who has served as the Member of Parliament from Rampur. He is one of the founding members of the Samajwadi Party and was a member of the Seventeenth Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. He was also the senior most Cabinet Minister in the Government of Uttar Pradesh and has been elected member of the legislative assembly ten times from Rampur assembly constituency. He was disqualified from his elected seat when he received a two-year prison sentence from the court.

Raja Ram Pandey was an Indian politician from the Samajwadi Party. He was a three-term member of legislative assembly and had also represented Vishwanathganj constituency of Pratapgarh district, Uttar Pradesh. He was in the Cabinet of the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.

Shivakant Ojha is an Indian politician affiliated with Bhartiya Janata Party. He is member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly representing Raniganj constituency in Pratapgarh district, of Uttar Pradesh. On 18 January 2014, Prof. Ojha was assigned as Minister for Technical Education in Akhilesh Yadav's cabinet. He was removed as the Minister for Technical Education on 29 October by the Chief Minister of the state, Akhilesh Yadav. Later he was reinducted in the cabinet again as a Health Minister of the state on 26 September 2016.

Ram Govind Chaudhary is one of the prominent socialist leaders of India who has served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 2017 to 2022. He was in charge of Basic Education and Child Nutrition and Development Ministries in previous Samajwadi Party Government of Uttar Pradesh led by Akhilesh Yadav. He is Member of Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh from the Bansdih assembly seat, Ballia.

Keshav Prasad Maurya is an Indian politician, currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Maurya was associated with a right-wing Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, before entering active politics through BJP. He was also involved in cow protectionism in his early life. Before 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections, he was made state president of the BJP, and after the victory of BJP, he was appointed as Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in the first Yogi Adityanath Government. Maurya again contested the legislative assembly elections in 2022 from Sirathu Assembly constituency, losing to Pallavi Patel of Samajwadi Party. However, he was given a second term as Deputy CM in the second Yogi Adityanath government.

Mehboob Ali is an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh. He is representing the Amroha seat on a Samajwadi Party ticket since 2002. He has also held different ministerial berths.

Ajay Kumar Singh is an Indian politician and a member of the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh of India. He represents the Harraiya in the Basti district of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Vinod Kumar Singh alias Pandit Singh was an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh. A three-time legislator and a senior member of the Samajwadi Party, Pandit Singh represented Gonda assembly constituency in the 13th, 14th and 16th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly which is the lower house of the bicameral legislature of Uttar Pradesh. He also served as a cabinet minister in the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh under the chief ministership of Akhilesh Yadav. He also contested the 2019 parliamentary elections from Gonda but lost to Kirti Vardhan Singh of BJP. He died on 7 May 2021 from COVID-19 related complications at the age of 59 years.
