Abner van Reenen (born 30 July 1998) is a South African rugby union player for Cheetahs. His regular position is fly-half. [1] [2]

In 2020, Van Reenen was named in the Stormers squad for the Super Rugby Unlocked campaign. [3] He made his debut for Stormers in Round 1 of the Pro14 Rainbow Cup SA against the Sharks. [4] [5] From 2021 to 2023, he played in Italy for the Rovigo Delta in the Top10. [6] [7]

Sponsored by communications company Vodacom, the tournament replaced the South African component of the incomplete 2020 Super Rugby season that was shut down in March of that year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The competition was won by the Blue Bulls, who beat the Sharks 26–19 after extra time in the final played at Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria on 30 January 2021.
