The Abu Dhabi Science Festival is a science festival organized by the Abu Dhabi Technology Committee (TDC) which takes place annually in Abu Dhabi, UAE. [1] The festival features many exhibitions, workshops, shows and signature events, as well as school tours for children around the city. [2] The festival was first held in 2011, and its sponsors and partners are Edinburgh Science Festival, Tawazun, Dolphin Energy, ADNOC, Etihad Airways, Masdar, Total, ADEC, Abu Dhabi Municipality, OSN, Radio 2, Abu Dhabi Media, Ferrari World, and produced by Flash Entertainment. [1]

In 2013, the festival moved to a bigger location at the du Forum Yas Island and the Abu Dhabi Corniche East Plaza, as well as reaching new locations in the UAE [3] with a regional tour that will showcase events across the Northern Emirates including Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. Zayed Port Port in Emirate of Abu Dhabi

Zayed Port also called Mina Zayed, is a commercial deep-water port owned by the Abu Dhabi Ports that serves Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Established in 1968, Zayed Port is in the northeast section of Abu Dhabi city. It was officially inaugurated and became fully operational in 1972, and is named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the former President of the United Arab Emirates. The transfer of Zayed Port's container traffic to the newly developed US$7.2 billion Khalifa Port container terminal was completed in 2012.

Zayed University

Zayed University is a public university based in United Arab Emirates. It was established in 1998. It is one of the three government-sponsored higher education institutions in the United Arab Emirates. It is named in honor of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the country's first president.

Provision of education in the UAE began shortly after the establishment of the federation with the inception of the first university in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates University. Since then, the country has progressed with efforts of ensuring high literacy rates, modern programs and women's share in education. It works on improving its youths education which is why the agenda 2021 has been set. The UAE currently devotes approximately 25 percent of total federal government spending to education. The overall literacy rate is 90%.

Abu Dhabi itself has over a trillion US dollars worth of assets under management in a combination of various sovereign wealth funds headquartered there.

Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh is the Cultural Adviser to the President of the UAE and the Chancellor of UAE University. He has been active in government service in the United Arab Emirates since its formation in 1971, and with the Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi since 1968.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has a diverse society. The country's historical population as a small tribal community that has changed with the arrival of other nationals, in the mid-20th century. The country was also part of the British Empire until 1971.

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was established in 1996 by Federal Cabinet Decree to regulate Civil Aviation and provide designated aviation services with emphasis on safety and security and to strengthen the aviation industry within the UAE and its upper airspace. The main office is located in Abu Dhabi and the regional office is located in Dubai to serve the northern Emirates. The GCAA, which is the sole authority for the control and regulation of civil aviation in the UAE, is responsible for the provision of en-route air navigation services and all aspects of flight safety. In late 2009, the GCAA opened its new Air Navigation Centre, The Sheikh Zayed Centre, which is considered the largest and busiest air traffic management facility in the Middle East as well as one of the world's most technically advanced centres in terms of its design.

The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture & Heritage was a statutory body in the United Arab Emirates that administered cultural heritage in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. In 2012, it merged into the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority.

Most expatriates in the United Arab Emirates reside in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. A number of immigrants settled in the country prior to independence. The UAE is home to over 200 nationalities. Emiratis constitute roughly 20% of the total population, making UAE home to one of the world's highest percentage of expatriates. Indians and Pakistanis form the largest expatriate groups in the country, constituting 28% and 12% of the total population respectively. 461,000 Westerners live in the United Arab Emirates, making up 5.1% of its total population.

Khalifa Port is the Abu Dhabi Ports' flagship, deepwater port built to accommodate the largest ships existing when it was built. It is a state-of-the art gateway to Abu Dhabi and handles all of the emirate’s container traffic. The transfer of container traffic from Zayed Port was completed in December 2012.

The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) is a governmental agency established in 1996 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) tasked with environmental protection matters in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Art is an art fair that takes place every November in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, featuring art gallerias, art and design foundations, as well as additional educational programming and talks.

Abu Dhabi Police Band

The Police Band of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters also known internationally as the Abu Dhabi Police Brass Band is the official musical unit of the Abu Dhabi Police in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It also serves as a military band of the UAE Armed Forces. The band currently serves with the deep emphasis in the importance of motivating police officers and the public, with some of its pieces encompassing marching, traditional, Arab, and British genres. In 1963, Brigadier General Ishaq Suleiman, a sergeant in a Jordanian Army Band, while on tour in London met with the niece of an official aide to the Shakhbut bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who wished to create a police band the city. She then invited Suleiman to the UAE to lead the band, giving him a ticket to Abu Dhabi so he could have the opportunity to consult with the Emir. He began recruiting members for the band from foreign countries such as Pakistan due to the common sentiment at the time by Emiratis about playing music, of which they considered shameful. He eventually created a 60-member band, made up of 30 bagpipes and 30 brass instruments. The band originally performed military marches, but time went by, Suleiman started teaching them famous symphonies by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Mozart. Suleiman, who left the band in 1980 and retired in 1991, designed the current ranking insignia worn band, as well as the police department. The 173-member band, who has received its training and experience from the Abu Dhabi Police College since 2004, has performed at venues all over the world, including at the coronation of Sayyid Qaboos bin Said al Said in 1970, the Spasskaya Tower Military Music Festival and Tattoo in 2013, and the Berlin Military Music Festival in 2014.
