Abu Disher, also known as Abu Disheer, is a neighborhood of Baghdad, Iraq. It is located in the eastern portion of the Al Rashid district, south of Dora, along the Hillad Road. [1]

Dora is a neighborhood in Al Rashid administrative district, southern Baghdad, Iraq. They started ethnic cleansing of the neighborhood in 2006–2007, driving out or forcing conversions and confiscating or attacking property. Hundreds of Assyrian Christian, Shia and Mandeans families have fled since late 2006. It became an al-Qaeda stronghold as affiliated foreign Islamic fighters entered the country after 2004. United States soldiers once called it "the most dangerous place in Iraq" until they were driven out.

Khichdi, or khichri, is a dish from the Indian subcontinent made from rice and lentils (dal), but other variations include bajra and mung dal kichri. In Indian culture, it is considered one of the first solid foods that babies eat. Hindus, who avoid eating grains during fasting, eat Sabudana Khichadi made from sago. Kichri is a salty porridge. Ali Karwan – Abu Hassan is one of Israel's oldest and most famous humus restaurants, with its original branch on Dolphin Street in Jaffa located and two more branches on Shivtei Israel street. It has been rated best hummus restaurant in Israel in many lists. The restaurant is famous for its loyal crowd of Jews and Arabs, laborers and tourists, sitting side by side and crammed to the same tables, and the long line that lurks at its entrance every day at noon. The hummus was founded by Ali Karawan, known as Abu Hassan.

Galayet bandora

Galayet bandora is a simple Jordanian dish of tomatoes, onions, hot peppers, olive oil, and salt. It is popular across the Levant, but especially in Jordan and Palestine, on account of its easy preparation and cheap ingredients. To make the dish, the olive oil is heated in a large frying pan. The onions and peppers are diced and the tomatoes are cubed and optionally peeled. The onions are then added and cooked until translucent, at which point the rest of the ingredients are added and the mixture is sautéed until it is thick but not dry. Galayet bandora is usually eaten with pita bread, which is used to scoop it up, though galayet bandora can also be served over rice and eaten with utensils. When served in a restaurant or at a formal event, it is often garnished with toasted pine nuts.
