Abubakr Ali is an Egyptian-born American actor. [1] [2] On television, he played Officer Samir Bashir in Law & Order: Organized Crime . [3] He also played the lead in the 2022 film Anything's Possible . [1]

Ali was born in Egypt and raised in Pasadena, California. [3] He is a Muslim. [4] According to an interview he did for Wonderland , Ali and his family moved to the United States in 2000; his father died in 2017. [1]
