Abul Hossain Khan is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician and the former Member of Parliament of Barisal-6. [1] He is also the founder of Abul Hossain Khan College in krishnakathi, Bakerganj, Barisal.

Career

Khan was elected to parliament from Barisal-6 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 2001. [2]

Barisal Division is one of the eight administrative divisions of Bangladesh. Following Rahman's assassination in 1981, his widow, Khaleda Zia, had taken over leadership of the party and presided as Chairperson until her imprisonment in 2018. Since her imprisonment, Tarique Rahman, the son of late president Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia, has been serving as the acting Chairperson and has run the affairs of the party from London.
