Achnahaird Bay is an inlet of Enard Bay and is located on the Coigach peninsula, Wester Ross, Scotland. [1] It can be reached by following the road to the scattered settlement of Achiltibuie. The wide sandy beach has views of the mountains Stac Pollaidh, Canisp and Suilven. Achnahaird Bay was used as a filming location for the 2011 film The Eagle , with a horse chase scene across the beach.

Achiltibuie is a long linear village in Ross and Cromarty, Highland, on the Coigach coast of northwestern Scotland, overlooking Badentarbet Bay to the west. Loch Broom and the Summer Isles lie to the south. Located 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Ullapool as the crow flies. Achiltibuie is the central community of a series of townships and communities stretching from Culnacraig, through Badenscallie and Polglass, Polbain, and Reiff to Achnahaird.

Enard Bay is a large remote tidal coastal embayment, located 10.5 miles northwest of Ullapool, in northwestern Ross and Cromarty, Scottish Highlands in the west coast of Scotland. The mouth of the bay is about 4.5 miles across running from the head of Rubha Mòr peninsula at Rubna Na CòiGeach point to Rubna Na Brèige to the east.
