The Acton Vale LTC Open [1] was a grass court tennis tournament held in Acton Vale LTC, East Acton, London, England from 1885 to 1891. [2]
The Acton Vale Open tennis tournament was established in June 1885. [3] The tournament attracted many prominent players with singles draw averaging 32. [2] The tournament was held annually until 1891 then was discontinued due to a compulsory purchase order being issued by the local authority to redevelop the land. The club moved to a new location but the event never recovered.

Tennis Wales (Welsh: Tennis Cymru) is the national governing body for tennis in Wales. It is part of the British tennis governing body, the Lawn Tennis Association. It was founded as the Welsh Lawn Tennis Association (WLTA) in 1887.
The 1880 Men's tennis tour was the fifth amateur tennis tour held that year. It now incorporated 41 tournaments staged in Australia, Great Britain and Ireland and the United States. The 1880 Wimbledon Championships was won by John Hartley against Herbert Lawford, in the Challenge Round.

Renshaw then won two other big tournaments of the year, the Irish Lawn Tennis Championships and Princes Club Championships, whilst Richard Taswell Richardson won the prestigious Northern Championships.

He was an all comers finalist at 1896 Wimbledon Championships in men's doubles event partnering with his brother Roy Allen, where the lost to Reginald Doherty and Harold Nisbet. He was active from 1887 to 1914 and contested 17 career finals in singles and won 8 titles.
