Adam Davies is an English former professional snooker player. He is the brother of fellow snooker player Alex Davies. [1]
Davies competed as an amateur in his early teens before reaching the last 32, at three Challenge Tour events in the 2003/2004 season. These performances, coupled with a run to the last 128 at the 2004 World Snooker Championship, earned him a place on the professional tour for the following two seasons.
In his first season, as a professional, Davies won four matches, defeating Darren Morgan in the 2004 British Open, Paul Davies in the 2005 Welsh Open, Simon Bedford in the 2005 China Open and, latterly, the former world number six Mike Hallett 10–5 in the World Championship. However, he did not progress beyond the last 80 at any event, and earned no prize money.
Davies' second season on tour proved no better; entering seven tournaments, he played six matches and won only one. His 5–4 victory over Bjorn Haneveer in the 2006 China Open led to a meeting with Justin Astley in the last 80, which he did lead 3–1, but lost 3–5. At the last 96 stage of the 2006 World Championship, Davies was defeated 7–10 by Mark Allen; he was ranked 89th at the season's conclusion, and lost his professional status.
Davies entered qualifying events to regain his place on tour the following season; he reached the semi-final at one of these but, needing to win to re-qualify, remained an amateur. Further attempts in the 2007/2008 and 2009/2010 seasons were also without success.
Joe Swail is a Northern Irish former professional snooker player from Belfast. He retired in May 2019 after being relegated from the tour. He has reached ten major ranking semi-finals, including the 2000 and 2001 World Championships but only one final. Swail is renowned for playing well at the Crucible Theatre, having reached the last 16 on four further occasions. He is also a former English amateur champion and Northern Ireland amateur runner-up, and has captained Northern Ireland internationally. He was Irish champion in 1992 and 2005.
Barry Pinches is an English former professional snooker player, recognisable for his bright and flamboyant waistcoats, which usually feature the yellow and green colours of Norwich City F.C. He is a former top 32 player and ranking-event quarter-finalist. He has compiled over 100 century breaks in his career. He has also made one maximum break.
Robin Hull is a Finnish former professional snooker player.
Reanne Evans is an English professional snooker player and a regular pundit for televised snooker coverage. She also competes on the World Women's Snooker Tour, where she is the current women's world number one. She received an MBE in the 2020 Birthday Honours for her services to women's snooker.
Rod Lawler is an English professional snooker player. He is noted for his slow playing style which gave rise to his nickname, "Rod the Plod".
Craig Steadman is an English former professional snooker player.
Mark Joyce is an English professional snooker player who lives in Walsall. He began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour in 2003. Joyce enjoyed an outstanding amateur career, winning the European Under-19 Championship in 2001, the English Open in 2005 and the English Amateur Championship in 2006, beating Martin O'Donnell 8–3 in the final. Joyce also finished fifth on the 2005/06 Pontin's International Open Series, winning the second of eight events, to book a place on Main Tour.
Alex Davies is an English former professional snooker player from Holland-on-Sea in Essex. He is the youngest person ever to win the English Amateur Championship, in 2003. Davies began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour in 2003, at the time the second-level professional tour. Davies was on the WPBSA Main Tour for the 2007–08 season, but dropped off. In May 2013, he returned to the main tour by winning five matches at the first event of the 2013 Q School concluding with a 4–1 win over Mitchell Travis to earn a place on the tour for the 2013–14 and 2014–15 season.
Kuldesh Johal is an English former professional snooker player. He competed on the main tour during the 2008/2009 and 2010/2011 seasons.
Li Hang is a Chinese former professional snooker player who, in 2023, was permanently banned from the sport after committing a range of match-fixing offences. Li first competed professionally during the 2008–09 season. His best performances during his professional career were reaching two ranking semi-finals. He reached a career high of 28th in the snooker world rankings in 2019.

Martin O'Donnell is an English professional snooker player. He gained a two-year place on the main snooker tour by coming through the 2012 Q School. He finished with the most points during the Q Tour of the 2022-23 season and gained a two-year tour card as a result.
