Adam Fullerton (born February 6, 1985 in Liverpool, New York) is an American lacrosse player. He is currently a member of the Denver Outlaws [1] in Major League Lacrosse Fullerton is best known as a field lacrosse goaltender.

Early years

Fullerton, a field lacrosse goaltender, began playing high school lacrosse for Liverpool High School. At Liverpool High School, Fullerton was named team captain for Liverpool and became second team all league and honorable mention All-Central New York.

College career

After high school, Fullerton enrolled at West Point, and set records as Army's goalkeeper his freshman year. He started after the first string senior goal-keeper went down with an injury. He played in all 17 games and started 12 of them, ranking 18th in the nation for save percentage with a (.576). He finished second in the Patriot League in save percentage and third in goals-against average.

Fullerton set the school record for longest consecutive winning streak by a freshman goalie and longest consecutive winning streak at the beginning of a career at seven. His eight wins was one short of school's plebe record. He was third on the squad in ground balls with 40.

Fullerton suffered his first collegiate loss against Duke. He recorded 13 saves against Air Force, then he improved upon that mark in regular-season finale with career-high 14 saves at Ohio State. Fullerton picked up four ground balls at Colgate and bettered that career mark with six grounders in Patriot League semifinal win over Bucknell. He recorded win at Holy Cross in relief of starter Matt Darak. Fullerton became the first plebe goalie to start an NCAA Tournament game since George Slabowski in 1981. He was also the first plebe goalie to lead the squad in goals-against average and save percentage since Rick Aguilar in 1991.

MLL career

Fullerton was the first goalie selected, when he was selected with the third-round selection (28th overall) by the Rochester Rattlers in Major League Lacrosse in the 2008 MLL Collegiate Draft. [2] After being drafted by Rochester, Fullerton was picked up by Denver before the 2009 season. He was selected as one of the goalies on the US National team that recently won gold at the World Lacrosse Championship. He was one of the eight goalies invited to try out for the team. In 2011, Fullerton's professional career was put on halt when he received word of his deployment to Afghanistan and served as First Lieutenant in the United States Army.

Prior to the 2014 season, Fullerton was traded by the Denver Outlaws to the Florida Launch, in exchange for Roy Lang. [3] Fullerton played in seven games for the Launch in 2014, saving 31 shots over 135 minutes of play. So far in 2015, Fullerton has appeared in 4 games with a GAA of 14.04 and a SV% of 51.7 (.571) [4]

During the 2015 MLL season, Fullerton spent most of the season backing up Florida Launch starting goaltender, Brett Queener. With three games remaining in the Florida Launch season, it was discovered Fullerton suffered from a torn meniscus in his knee, requiring him to miss the remainder of the season.

Personal life

His identical twin brother, Patrick Fullerton played attack with Adam at West Point.

Fullerton was a 1st Lieutenant and was promoted to Captain in the United States Army causing him to miss one year of his MLL Career.

Fullerton graduated West Point with a degree in Leadership Management with a minor in Environmental Engineering.

Fullerton spent a year tour in Afghanistan serving in the U.S. army in 2011.

Fullerton is married to Brea Thomas Fullerton, founder and CEO of Shinery, a non-toxic jewelry care line. [5]

Chris Garrity American lacrosse player

Chris Garrity was a professional lacrosse goaltender with the Chesapeake Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse (MLL). He retired from MLL on 19 January 2012. Coming out of high school, Chris' best sport was soccer where he excelled as a marking back. Despite being a better soccer player Chris decided to pursue lacrosse in college.

Anthony Kelly is a retired professional lacrosse player that played on the Chesapeake Bayhawks in the MLL. He has also played for the Rochester Knighthawks and New York Titans in the NLL, the Kentucky Stickhorses in the NALL, and the Los Angeles Riptide, Chicago Machine, Rochester Rattlers, Ohio Machine, and Denver Outlaws of the MLL. He is a faceoff specialist and won a Bronze Medal with U.S. Men's National Indoor Team in 2007. He retired in April 2018.

Brett Queener is an American lacrosse player. He is currently a member of the Chrome Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League and was selected by the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. He never played for them. Queener is best known as a field lacrosse goaltender, however he plays an offensive position in indoor box lacrosse. Queener is currently the head coach of the Community School of Naples varsity lacrosse team.

Trevor R. Tierney is a current National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men's lacrosse assistant coach, former Major League Lacrosse (MLL) defensive coordinator and retired lacrosse goaltender who has played professional box lacrosse in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and professional field lacrosse in MLL. Trevor starred as a member of the Princeton Tigers men's lacrosse team from 1998 through 2001, where he was an NCAA goaltender of the year, two-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American, a national goals against average (GAA) and save percentage statistical champion and a member of two national champion teams.

Ohio Machine

The Ohio Machine were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) professional men's field lacrosse team based in Obetz, Ohio. They first played in the 2012 MLL season and continued through the 2018 season.

Steven Brooks (lacrosse) American lacrosse player

Steven Brooks is a professional lacrosse player that retired from the Atlas LC (PLL) of Premier Lacrosse League in 2019. Brooks was the 6th overall draft pick in the 2008 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft by the Chicago Machine. He played high school lacrosse for Libertyville High School in Libertyville, Illinois. He also attended a postgraduate year at Bridgton Academy. Brooks played college lacrosse at Syracuse University. In January 2020, Brooks was named assistant coach of the Atlas LC (PLL) in the professional lacrosse league PLL. He is the first ever PLL player turned coach in the league's history.

Jesse Schwartzman is a professional lacrosse player for the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse. Prior to playing professionally, he played his collegiate lacrosse at the Johns Hopkins University.

Dillon Ward Canadian lacrosse player

Dillon James Ward is a professional lacrosse player (goalie) for the Colorado Mammoth in the National Lacrosse League and Waterdogs Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League.

The 2017 Major League Lacrosse season was the 17th season of Major League Lacrosse. Featuring the same nine teams as 2016, the season began on April 22. All four games played on opening weekend were won by the road team and decided by one goal, two in overtime. The season culminated in the championship game on August 19 in Frisco, Texas at The Ford Center at The Star. In a rematch of the 2016 championship game, the Ohio Machine defeated the Denver Outlaws 17–12, capturing their first Steinfeld Cup in franchise history.

The 2018 Major League Lacrosse season is the 18th season of Major League Lacrosse. The season began on Saturday, April 21 with three games. For the third straight year, the league consists of nine teams playing 14 games each. However, the league announced on November 16, 2017 that the Rochester Rattlers, one of the league's four remaining charter franchises, would relocate to Frisco, Texas and become the Dallas Rattlers. The reigning champions for the first time are the Ohio Machine, who would take a hard fall and finish 3-11 in 2018. The season culminated on Saturday, August 18 with the Denver Outlaws hoisting their third Steinfeld Trophy in Charleston, South Carolina at MUSC Health Stadium after defeating the Rattlers, 16-12.

The 2019 Major League Lacrosse season was the 19th season of Major League Lacrosse. The regular season began on Friday, May 31 and ended on Sunday, September 22. It was the first time the league would ever begin its season after Memorial Day, allowing all players selected in the collegiate draft to play a full season. 2019 also marks the first time each team would play 16 games. The league has played a 14-game schedule since 2012. Additionally, the league returned to a Championship Weekend format instead of a two-week postseason for the first time since 2013. Championship Weekend was hosted in Denver with two semifinal games on Friday, October 4 and the 19th Steinfeld Cup was hosted at Dick's Sporting Goods Park October 6 on ESPN2.

Connecticut Hammerheads

The Connecticut Hammerheads were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) professional men's field lacrosse team based in Fairfield, Connecticut. The team played for one season during the 2020 season. The team's home field was Rafferty Stadium located on the campus of Fairfield University.

The 2021 Premier Lacrosse League season was the third season of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). The 2021 season represented a return to the tour-based format that the league followed in 2019 after playing a bubble tournament in 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. 2021 also represented a return to one unified professional Field Lacrosse format after Major League Lacrosse and the Premier Lacrosse League announced they were merging on December 16, 2020. This monumental merger saw the PLL adopt the naming rights to all former MLL teams, as well as Cannons Lacrosse Club moving from the MLL to the PLL as an 8th team set by expansion draft. The Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club were the two-time defending league champions. Chaos Lacrosse Club took revenge against Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club by defeating them in the championship game on September 19th at Audi field by a score of 9-14.

Blaze Riorden is an American professional lacrosse player who plays as a goalie for Chaos Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League and as a forward for the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. In the PLL he has won three straight Oren Lyons Goalie of the Year awards, making him the first goalie to do so. He is also one of only two field lacrosse goalies to win league MVP at the professional level and is widely regarded as one of the greatest lacrosse goalies of all time.
