"Hangman" Adam Page and Kenny Omega were a tag team in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) existing from late 2019 to late 2020. From January to September 2020, they were recognized as AEW World Tag Team Champions, the second team in history.
Prior to the formation of AEW in 2019, Adam Page and Kenny Omega were known for their affiliation with the professional wrestling faction, Bullet Club. They were depicted as allies in kayfabe and participated in various promotions, including New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Ring of Honor (ROH). Page and Omega were part of The Elite, a subgroup that eventually separated from Bullet Club. With the launch of AEW, they were among the inaugural wrestlers hired by the company, with Omega also serving as Executive Vice President. [1] [2]
In AEW’s storyline, Page and Omega shifted from singles competition to form a tag team in late 2019. They secured the AEW World Tag Team Championship in January 2020 by defeating inaugural champions SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky). Their title defense at the Revolution event against The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), fellow members of The Elite, was particularly noteworthy. [2] In the lead-up to the event, Page distanced himself from The Elite due to escalating tensions in AEW’s narrative, marking his departure from the group. [1]
Immediately after losing the championship to FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) at All Out in September, [3] the team disbanded and both Page and Omega returned to singles competition. The duo would face each other in the final of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament at Full Gear in November. [1] Omega won the final as well as the world championship from Jon Moxley the following month at Winter Is Coming with the help of Don Callis. [4]

It took place on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. The name of the event was a reference to a Being The Elite segment that was also titled "Full Gear." The event aired through traditional PPV outlets, as well as on B/R Live in North America and FITE TV internationally.
