Adam Shand is a New Zealand visual effects operations manager and advocate of community wireless networks.

Career

Shand founded Personal Telco in November 2000 which subsequently grew into one of the largest community wireless projects in the United States. [1] [2] [3] He is one of the original members of the Shmoo Group [4] and the primary author of the Wireless Commons Manifesto. [5] [6]

In 2003 he moved back home to Wellington, New Zealand to work as a senior systems administrator, and later became the operations manager, for Weta Digital. [1] [7]

Christian Rivers is a New Zealand storyboard artist, visual effects supervisor, special effects technician, and director. He first met Peter Jackson as a 17-year-old, and storyboarded all of Jackson's films since Braindead. He made his directing debut in the film adaptation of Mortal Engines, and planning a remake of The Dam Busters, both produced by Peter Jackson.

Joe Letteri, ONZM is a senior visual effects artist, winner of four Academy Awards, four BAFTA awards and four VES awards. He is the current director of the Academy Award-winning Weta Digital, having joined the company in 2001. He has received several awards and nominations as visual effects supervisor, the latest being War for the Planet of the Apes. He attended Center High School (Pennsylvania) in 1975 and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1981. He gave the keynote address at UC Berkeley's December Convocation on 19 December 2010.

Avatar 3 is an upcoming American epic science fiction film directed, со-produced, co-written, and co-edited by James Cameron, scheduled to be released on December 20, 2024. It is the second of four planned sequels to his film Avatar (2009) and will be the sequel to Avatar 2 (2022), making it the third film in Cameron's Avatar franchise. Cameron is producing the film with Jon Landau, with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver originally announced as his co-writers; it was later announced that Cameron, Jaffa, Silver, Josh Friedman, and Shane Salerno took a part in the writing process of all of the sequels before being assigned to finish the separate scripts, making the eventual writing credits unclear. Dan Lemmon is a New Zealand visual effects supervisor. In 2012, he was nominated for an Academy Award for the movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Stephen Rosenbaum is an American visual effects artist and supervisor, and has worked for more than 25 years on numerous movie and commercial productions, including six that have won Academy Awards. He received two Academy Awards and two BAFTA Awards for his contributions on Forrest Gump and Avatar, and has played an integral role on such pioneering films as Jurassic Park, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Abyss, X2: X-Men United, Death Becomes Her, Contact and The Perfect Storm.
